It seemed like he was trying to see into her heart, wondering whether she was seeking Ah Kai for her leg, or because she had feelings for Gu Kai.

Luo Haofeng leaned back into the sofa, his expression lazy as he held her angry gaze.

Suddenly, Bai Xiaoxiao laughed, a seductive smile playing on her lips: “You guessed it right!”

As soon as the words fell, she turned around and left without looking back at the abrupt change in Luo Haofeng’s face or the anger in his thin lips. Looking at her departing figure, he was filled with utter frustration.

Upon opening the door, Qin Mu had just finished a call. Seeing her leave, he blinked in surprise, “Why are you leaving so soon?”

Bai Xiaoxiao smile at him and politely replied: “I have some business to attend to.”

Qin Mu nodded, took two steps forward, pushed the door open to see Luo Haofeng, gloomy-faced, sitting on the couch lighting a cigarette, blowing smoke rings. Curious, he asked, “What did you do to piss her off?”

Without raising his head, Luo Haofeng responded tersely: “Why do you say I pissed her off? She came looking for Ah Kai. Since Ah Kai isn’t here, she naturally left. I don’t know what sketchy thing she is up to.”

Qin Mu twitched his mouth corner, “If you like Bai Xiaoxiao, just pursue her. Why bring Ah Kai into this? You know Ah Kai has absolutely no feelings for Bai Xiaoxiao.”

“Did I say I liked her?”

Luo Haofeng looked up, glaring at Qin Mu in displeasure.

Qin Mu snorted in mockery, “You may not have said it, but it’s written all over your face.”

Luo Haofeng’s face changed a few times, then he stared sharply at Qin Mu for a long while before saying in a low, ominous tone, “Ah Mu, you don’t even know what liking someone means, how can you see that I like Bai Xiaoxiao in my face?”

Qin Mu didn’t answer, but picked up a cigarette from the coffee table, lit it, took a slow drag before blowing out a puff of smoke. As the smoke drifted around him, a layer of mist seemed to form over his black eyes, making it difficult to see clearly.

So, Ah Feng said he didn’t even know what liking someone meant?

He wished he really didn’t know what it means to like someone. What is liking someone? It’s losing control of your own heart, knowing you shouldn’t have feelings for them, yet finding yourself falling for them anyway.

He was grateful that Mo Xiuchen hadn’t revealed his secret to anyone, including his two best friends, Luo Haofeng and Gu Kai, who weren’t aware that he had been silently in love with her all this time.
