Lola’s POV

You know that feeling when it feels like you’ve finally reached your final destination, then you can rest? That’s exactly how I felt when I saw the pack come into view.

I might not have a mate still, but I have people that will support me and stay by me now. Even though they’re not up to 5, they’re still people I can count on to stick up for me.

The pack house came into view and I saw a fuming Nathan standing in front of the pack house. Uh–oh. I looked towards Lyla and she didn’t seem to care that he was angry and it was directed at her.

We packed in front of the pack house and Nathan stormed over to the car, knocking harshly on the window. Lyla took her time to turn off the engine and unbuckle her seat belt before opening the car.

“What the hell, Lyla? How could you go on a girl’s day out or whatever without my permission nor Adrian’s“, he asked angrily, immediately Lyla opened the door.

“Last time I checked, I do not need your permission to live my life. I asked Luna and she gave me her permission. The only thing you should be mad about is your motherf**king car and I brought it back in one piece“, she spat, looking him directly in the eye.

What exactly is going on with these two? I stayed silent to

avoid being caught in the middle of their heated argument.

“What if something happened to you? You could have taken one b*dy guard with you. And you did not go alone, if something had happened to Lola, would you take

responsibility?” He snarled at her, the anger in his eyes growing.

Lola rolled her eyes at him,“Like I said, don’t act like you care. We’re back in one piece and I promise you that your car doesn’t have a scratch“, she tried to move past him but he wouldn’t budge.

“Out of my way, Hulk. I need to get my things from the car, so you can take Lola to the house. Stop talking too much, you’re a man“, she looked towards his crotch area at that statement, “or maybe not“.

She was about to move him again when he trapped her against the back door car. “Say that one more time, and I’ll show you just how much of a man I can be“, he said lowly.

Damn werewolf hearing, I don’t want to be here.

I zoned out because it felt like I was intruding on something. I was brought back to the present when I heard the back door slam shut. Lola poked her head into the car through the driver’s side.

“I had fun today, Lola. Let’s do it again soon“, she smiled at me and I nodded at her. “I had fun too, thank you for the opportunity“, I smiled back at her.

“No problem,chica. It’s what friends do“, she looked towards Nathan before looking back at me. “Dickhead here is going to take you back to the house. My regards to Rose, and I almost

forgot“, she brought out Adrian’s card, “tell her we had loads of fun with the card. See you later, baby girl“, she waved at me before walking away.

“The least you can do is thank me for using my car for your getaway“, Nathan shouted after her and she gave him the finger, making me giggle in response.

Nathan entered the car and I stiffened. I was still not

comfortable around him.

“Good evening, Lola. Your hair suits you“, he said and I was shocked. “Thank you?” It came out as a question and he started the car, which I was grateful for.

Rose came outside when she heard Nathan’s car stop in front of the house. She ran towards me when she saw me and

hugged me.

“Oh my goddess, you look stunning. I like the color you made your hair“, she gushed over me. I wanted to tell her I did not dye my hair but decided against it. Nob*dy would believe I met with the Moon goddess in my dreams anyway.

“Let’s go inside so you can tell me all about your day and how much fun you had. I want to know everything“, she pulled me towards the house before Nathan’s voice stopped us.

“And who’s going to carry all of these loads inside, definitely can’t be me“, he said and Rose turned on him with her

eyebrows raised. “You want your Luna to lift heavy loads. when you’re here? Where is your manners, young man?” She asked with her hands on her hips and Nathan bowed his head

in submission.

“I’m sorry, Luna. I’ll carry all of it inside now“, Rose turned towards the house and we giggled together.

We sat at the kitchen counter while Nathan carried all of my stuff inside. Rose made him carry it to my room to which he whined and complained. He left after he was done packing it.

Rose brought out some cookies and milk for us to munch on while I recounted all of my day’s experience to her. I swear she was more excited than I was for having such a fun day.

………and she made us enter all of the stores in the mall“, was what I was talking about when Adrian entered looking all sweaty and rough.

His gaze lingered on me and I saw sadness cloud his eyes for a fleeting moment before he masked it with anger and

stormed towards the stairs without saying a word to anyone, not even Rose.

I suddenly went mute. I just couldn’t understand why he would say such mean things to me without even listening to my side of the story.

I did not know I was crying until Rose wiped my cheeks. I looked towards her and saw how sorry she was for my predicament. It wasn’t her fault though, she tried her best.

“I’m so sorry, Lola. No one deserves what you’re going through“, she hugged me as I sobbed into her chest.

e soon heard Adrian come down the stairs and he left the house without saying anything to anyone.

I excused myself from the kitchen and went up to my room. I washed up and changed into a cute onesie I bought and went
