Chapter 70
Luna Lola-The Moon Wolf by Park Kara
Chapter 70
Lolaâs POV
The ride into the town was silent but comfortable. We did not need to talk to fill the void between us, our silence was peaceful. The only sound in the car was the one coming from the radio that was on.
His hand that was on mine did not leave till we got to the center of the town. We were almost there when my phone dinged. I opened it and it turned out to be Lyla.
âYo, wanna hang out today? Feels like eternity since we saw your faceâ, the message read and I smiled. Adrian growled from beside me and I rolled my eyes at him before texting Lyla back.
âIâm out of town with Adrian presently. Iâll let you know when we get backâ, I replied to her before switching off my phone. Nothing was going to come in between my mate and I today.
âWho was that?â Adrian asked when I dropped my phone back in my bag. âJealous, are we?â I teased him and he ground his jaw together making me giggle. I like this Adrian, he gives me butterflies in my belly.
âOf course not. Iâm definitely not jealous of anything, I just want to know who youâre speaking to that made you smileâ, he grumbled out and I started laughing loudly, making him pout adorably
âOh my goddess, youâre so adorable. Of course youâre not jealous, youâre just curiousâ, I said to him and the tip of his ear became red.
Who knew he was so easy to mess with?

âSo who were you talking to?â He asked after a while. âLyla. She wanted to meet up but I told her I was out of townâ, he nodded and concentrated on the road.
âWe are hereâ, he said when we reached the mall I directed him to. He came to open the door for me and held my hand as I got out.
âWhere to first, my lady?â He asked with a fake accent, making me burst out laughing. âWhatâs that accent?â I asked, still laughing and he joined me. We got glances from passersâby but I didnât care, I was enjoying just being in the presence of my mate.
Just when I was about to answer, my stomach rumbled. I covered my face with my palms and he pulled me away from the car before he closed the door. âI know exactly where we are goingâ, he said as he pulled me to the mall. âHow did I forget to feed you?â He muttered to himself as he kept moving.
âYou were too excited for our dateâ, I said under my breath but his Alpha ears picked it up. He glared at me and I made the motion of zipping up my l*ps. Itâs best not to poke a wolf on a mission.
He found a place for us and went to order food for us. I was amazed when he brought the food. There was so much food and I knew I couldnât finish half of it. âWhy did you get so much when thereâs just the two of us?â I asked, still looking at the platter in amazement.
âI did not know what youâd like and you seemed pretty hungry so I got almost everything I sawâ, he replied, scratching the back of his n*eck. âWell, I canât fit all of these in my tiny b*dyâ, I gestured to my b*dy as I spoke and he chuckled.
âItâs a good thing you have me to help you fit it in my b*dy thenâ. he said as he came to sit beside me, ânow, dig inâ. I smiled at him before I started eating. The first bite tasted like heaven and I moaned a little.

Adrian let out a groan beside me and I looked at him with a raised brow. âIf you keep doing that, I might not be able to keep my promise of taking you only when youâre ready. Youâre driving me insane and Daxon is barely holding onâ, he whispered huskily into my ears and I involuntarily clenched my thighs.
I cleared my throat and stuffed my face with food to stop the heat from spreading across my face but it was futile and he laughed a little before he started eating too.
After we finished eating, I felt like I was going to burst and had to unbutton my pants. Adrian did not seem to be affected even though he ate the majority of the food. I looked at him in awe and he gave me a boyish smile.
âHow are you still functioning?â I asked with labored breathing. Okay, maybe I was exaggerating but I still felt so full and he was the one who forced me to eat so much so I was being a bit dramatic.
âYouâre just being dramaticâ, he chuckled and I glared at him. âI know what will make you feel okayâ, he said and I sat up to hear him. âWhatâs that?â I asked eagerly.
âI saw a park on our way here. We should go there and check it out. It will be an avenue to get to know what you like and also burn the food you ateâ, he said. I clapped excitedly and nodded.
He took my hands and led me out of the food court. As we entered the parking lot, I felt like I was being watched and looked around but I did not see anything out of place. I did not know I had stopped until Adrian tugged on my hand.
âIs anything the matter, baby?â He asked and I shook my head. Itâs probably just in my head. I put on a smile and followed after him.
Today is all about focusing on my mate and getting to know him, not
worrying about things that are out of place.
He drove us to the park and I was amazed by what I saw. The park was filled with a lot of people; they seemed to be having some form of party and the memories of coming here with Mom and Dad sparked in my head, bringing tears to my eyes.
I got out of the car before Adrian could open the door for me and we went into the park together.
