Chapter 79
Luna Lola-The Moon Wolf by Park Kara
Chapter 79 Lolaâs POV Not again. This psychopath is really messing with me.
âYou should go upstairs and rest, babyâ. Adrian said and I looked at him like heâs grown another head. âIs he f ucking with us right now?â Jasmine asked. âHe must have forgotten why this is happeningâ, I replied to her.
âI should go upstairs?âI asked him incredulously and he nodded unsurely, âYouâve got to be kidding me. Adrian. Should I remind you why all these is happening again?â I asked, my voice rising with every word.
âItâs already late and it might be a trap. I donât want you toâ¦â¦â, I cut him off. âOne word, Adrian. I dare you to say one more wordâ, he looked taken aback by my words and just kept looking at me in silence.
âIf youâve forgotten why all these keep happening, should I juggle your memory? Right now is not the time to be sentimental. People are dying, people you are supposed to rule over, that WE are supposed to rule over are dying because a motherf ucking psychopath wants me and you think now is the time to be protective over the one thatâs supposed to protect everyone?â I spat in his direction and he kept mute.
âAre you going to stand there or are you going to put on some clothes so we can leave?â That question seemed to pull him out of the trance he was and he broke into a smile.
I raised my eyebrow in question and he pulled me into a hug. âThat was amazing, baby, You radiated so much power and I could not help. getting turned onâ. he said after he pulled back and gave me a boyish Chapter 70 grin.
âIâll just put a shirt on then we can go, tomato checksâ, he said and went towards the stairs, leading to our room.
Oops. I just said our room. I kinda like the sound of it.
It did not take long before Adrian came back with a shirt on, not that it made him less se xy. He held my hand we left the house.
Before we got to the place where the b*dy was found, I already smelled the scent that supposedly accompanied the rogues.
âAdrian?â I called out to him. âYes, babyâ, he stopped in his tracks and turned to look at me. âItâs the same smell. And itâs stronger this time aroundâ, I said low enough for only his ears. âCan you lead me in the direction where you sense itâs the strongest.
I nodded and led him away from where the warriors stood. They all looked at us in confusion but Adrian did not pay attention to them. Nathan followed behind us, probably wondering why we were wandering when there was a b*dy to check out.
Suddenly, I heard Nathan shout. âAdrian, to your leftâ. Without thinking about my next action, I pointed my hand in the direction Nathan shouted and a cry of pain was heard later.
I had released lightning on the intruder without thinking, my mateâs safety was the most important thing then. A couple of warriors ran over to the writhing b*dy while Adrian shielded me with his b*dy.
I rolled my eyes at him and Jasmine laughed in my head. âYouâd think he will realize that we can handle ourselves given the fact that we just took down a rogueâ, she said with a soft laugh and I agreed with her. âI swear he acts like he has amnesia sometimesâ, I replied to her.
1288 Voucher âI can hear your thoughts and conversations, baby. Careful what you say or there might be consequencesâ, I heard his voice in my head and suddenly put up my wall. Oopsies.
âTake him to the dungeon and await meâ, he barked at the warrior and they all bowed to him before they left with the rogue that was still in pain. âWhat if he dies before we reach the dungeon?â I asked as he was. being taken away, âshould I just heal him?â
âIle should be able to survive itâ, he replied. âWait, we? What do you mean we?â He asked and I rolled my eyes at him for the nth time that night. I swear my eyes might become permanently glued in the eye roll motion with the way I roll my eyes around this man.
âYes, we. We, as in, you and I. Try to keep up. Adrianâ, I said. Nathan laughed behind us but covered it with a cough. âLola, the dungeon is not somewhere you should be, try to understand meâ.
âDo I need to remind you that that was where I spent my first night or two when I arrived in this pack?â I countered with my hand on my waist and that was what it took to shut him up.
And thatâs how you win an argument, ladies.
We went to the pack memberâs b*dy and it was the same manner of death as the first one. He was stabbed in the n*eck before his heart got carved out. The heart was placed in a box with a note saying: âI see youâre already getting close to uncovering this. I canât wait till you are mine, loveâ.
A shudder ran down my spine after reading the letter but I did but. allow it to show on my face. I did not want to give Adrian any excuse to make me sit out going to the dungeon.
We soon left for the dungeon again after a thorough check of the area was done and it was found clear. My heart was beating rapidly as we 11:37 Chapter 79 285 (Vouchers walked to the dungeon.
I felt Adrian trying to talk through our mindlink and put down my wall. âI can hear your rapid heartbeat, itâs not too late for us to go back, babyâ. he said tenderly but I was obstinate. I put up my wall after declining and we moved forward.
The air around the took a deep bredungeon was heavy with despair and anguish. I took a deep breath as we entered. We had not gone far when I sighted Andrew and Natalie but I did not get to look at them for long because Adrian blocked my view.
âYou donât need to feel bad for them. Theyâre getting a taste of their own medicineâ, his voice rang in my head and I sighed deeply. âWere they at least given food?â I asked. I just couldnât ignore them, they were good people at some points in my life. âIâll see to it in the morningâ, Adrian assured me and I nodded slightly.
We got to the cell at the last end of the dungeon and the rogue was there, still writhing in pain. He looked up when he heard us enter and his face lit up when he saw me even though he was in pain.
âI s-see th-the re-e-as-on he wou-wouldnât st-stop loo-looking for y- youâ, he managed to breathe out through his pain. âYo-you loo-look so gorg-ge-geousâ â, he smiled as he spoke and Adrian growled loudly but I held him back.
âWhoâs looking for me?â I asked him and he looked me straight in the eyes, âwoul-wouldnât yo-you 1-1-love to kn-knowâ, he said before groaning in pain.
This is going to be a long night.
