Chapter Three

Photographing Love (BxB) (Unedited)

Nova had got Mark to give him just enough time so he could quickly change before they left. He was told he should change into something nice looking.

So he just dressed in a black sweater with a white button up underneath it, the collar of the shirt folded over top of the sweater, along with black slacks. Of course he still had on his converse though, not really seeing a problem with wearing them.

Julian, Mark, and Nova were all in a limo on the way to the talk show. Nova was looking around the limo because it had a lot of buttons that he had no idea what would happen if they were pressed.

"Nova you'll be back stage before Julian goes on, and then we'll move you to the audience to get pictures during his performance," Mark said getting his attention. "Will your camera be able to get good shots?"

Nova nodded his head, "yeah, it should have no problem getting shots like that." He was more nervous with having to sit in the audience surrounded by all those people screaming.

Julian noticed the uncomfortable look he had on his face and immediately looked to Nova's hands to see his fingers fidgeting already. It made him extremely worried for him tonight, also confused as to why he would take this job with the size of the crowds he had. He was the biggest star in the music business right now.

He looked to Mark and said, "hey, do you think we could get Nova some ear plugs too?" Julian did promise to get him some, and he was going to keep his word.

Nova looked up from his lap to Julian and gave him a small smile of thanks.

Mark shrugged his shoulders, not seeing it as a big deal for the kid to have earplugs as well. "Sure, I don't see why not." He thought about getting some for the boy anyways, because it would probably let him focus more on getting good shots. Mark knew he would be annoyed if people were screaming in his ear while he was trying to work.

The limo stopped at the back entrance of the building where there were less paparazzi. Julian described them as cockroaches. It was one of the only other things that annoyed him about being a singer.

The car came to a stop and the driver got out opened the door for the three. Mark got out first, then Julian, and finally Nova.

Immediately people started surrounding them, talking about a billion different things. They were mainly people on Julian's team. The sound guy asking about if he needed any back up with any instruments, and what song was he was going to perform. Someone asking Mark if they'd want anything in their dressing room, like snacks or water.

Nova just trailed behind them, feeling a bit surprised at how calm Julian seemed with a lot of people speaking to him at once. If he had to do that Nova was sure his mind would explode.

"Julian, get to the dressing room with Cassie so she can pick out your outfit," Mark said waving his hand off in one direction.

Nova just stood there not really knowing where he was supposed to be. Was he supposed to follow Julian? Was he supposed to just go around randomly? He got his answer when hands came down on his shoulder, making him jump.

"What are you doing? Go with Julian," Mark said giving him a little shove. "Don't just stand there like deer in head lights."

Nova stuttered out a soft, "o-okay." He did stop for a second to just take a picture of the area in general before walking quickly after Julian to catch up with him.

They got into a little room that really didn't look that different from the one Nova was in last time.

"Okay so I figured we'd do something casual, not to dressy because I know that's not your thing," Cassie said in a rush.

Nova thought she reminded him of one those the people on television that would try and sell you something. They always talked really fast so it was hard for people to understand the bad affects of the things they're selling.

Julian just nodded his head, being used to understanding Cassie's fast talking. "Are we gonna put a lot of makeup on me again?," Julian asked making a face. He didn't like putting make up on, but was forced too.

Cassie laughed lightly saying, "well we don't want the lights to kill your skin tone." "Everyone knows they make you look ten times paler than you are." Cassie started getting out the makeup and Julian looked up seeing Nova standing in the doorway and he whined softly.

"Please don't take pictures of me while getting makeup."

Cassie let out a giggle before looking up and waving her brush as a greeting. "Hello there, please do film him while he makes his faces."

Julian glared playfully, his eyes shifting between the two. "You two better not be ganging up on me!"

Nova chuckled shaking his head, as Cassie started brushing some makeup over Julian's face.

Grinning softly Nova quickly switched on his camera, and turned it so it was recording instead. He held up his camera zooming in more towards Julian's face as he scrunched it up and wrinkled his nose.

When he noticed Nova recording he groaned, "you're so evil."

Nova couldn't help but let out a laugh, "sorry, Mark said to get everything."

Julian flinched when Cassie started plucking his eyebrows. "Oh hush, you act like i'm torturing you."

He scoffed and said, "you are!"

Cassie rolled her eyes and Nova turned the camera to her. She smiled and said, "he's just being a big baby isn't he?"

Julian sighed and said, "well, this is it, i'm officially going to be ganged up on now." "I'll have to fight to keep you bullies back."

Nova had to hold in his giggles at how dramatic Julian was being. "Yep, there's no escaping us."

Julian stuck his tongue out as Cassie swatted him over the head with a brush lightly. "Ow! Abuse!" "Nova got that on camera, abuser."

They both laughed and Cassie started fixing Julian's hair. So Nova got closer to made sure he got exactly what she was doing.

When he moved back and got Julian's face he gave him a wide smile. "Just in case anyone out there wants to know my hair routine, we got you."

Nova rolled his eyes and turned his camera off, putting it down. "I think that should be enough for right now."

"So when did you get hired?," Cassie asked giving him a friendly smile. "I think we ran into each other the other day, but I was to busy to say hi," she smiled a bit more sheepishly.

Nova smiled shaking his head, "it's fine." "And I just got hired a week ago but was not here until yesterday."

"Well it's nice to meet you Nova." She was talking all while doing Julian's hair and he made a face as she put gel in his hair.

"Is there anything she does that you don't make faces for?," he asked raising an eyebrow.

"He's usually okay with the outfits I pick for him," Cassie says letting out a chuckle. "Which by the way, you need to get into."

Julian rolled his eyes and stood up, automatically pulling his shirt off over his head. Nova widened his eyes and squeaked softly, his face turning a bright red, he quickly covered his eyes.

Julian just laughed loudly, "what?" "Have you never seen another guy shirtless before?"

Nova just shook his head keeping his eyes covered. "Of course I have, but I didn't expect you to just strip in front of me."

"I'm not naked Nova," Julian choked out, still laughing.

"Just tell me when he's dressed," he directed towards Cassie.

She laughed softly, "don't worry I won't let your virgin eyes be violated."

Nova waited a few minutes and he felt two hands wrap around his wrists and pulls hands from his face. He blinked, letting his eyes adjust to the light again to see Julian standing in front of him with an amused look in his eyes.

He was still holding his hands as he said, "i'm dressed now."

Nova quickly took his hands out of Julian's, trying to get his blush under control. "Okay," he said softly.

Julian smiled warmly, finding Nova extremely cute when he was shy. He stepped back though quickly, when he heard someone clear his throat. He looked up to see Mark with a warning look on his face, and Julian knew he would get talked to later.

"You're on for singing."

Julian nodded his head, "did you get Nova earplugs?"

Mark held out his hands holding two sets of earplugs. "I got some for both you, now come on you can be late."

Julian quickly walked out the door, bumping his shoulder purposely against Mark's, putting his earplugs in as he walked. He was feeling jittery and excited. This what Julian looked forward to everyday, performing.

He stood on the side entrance of the stage waiting for his cue to walk on.

"And now, the one I'm sure you've all been waiting for." The crowd start to scream really loud causing Julian to grin to himself. "Ladies and gentleman, Julian Kyle!"

Nova was only a few rows back from the stage. One, so he wouldn't have to crane his neck back to get a shot. And two, he wasn't so far to where he had to zoom in a lot.

He was extremely thankful for Julian getting him earplugs. When Julian came out, the screams were insanely loud. Nova stood up with everyone else and quickly turned his camera on again.

He lifted it to his face snapping a few photos of Julian walking towards his guitar. Then got another one as he sat down on the stool and picked up his guitar. He then took his camera away to watch him perform.

Nova had never really heard Julian's music before. He's heard a few seconds of some songs, but had never really sat down and listened to a full song.

So when Julian started strumming his guitar and opened his mouth to sing. Nova's mind almost exploded from how beautiful his voice sounded.

"Skin. Heat. Hair in your mouth. Feet, touching feet."

Nova thought his voice sounded incredibly angelic, he's never heard anyone sing like that before.

"Oh you, and I." Julian leaned forward more towards the microphone. "Safe, from the world. Though the world will try."

The whole crowd had hushed as soon as Julian had begun singing, and Nova knew why. He wouldn't want to miss hearing his voice either.

"Oh, I'm afraid of the things in my brain." "But we can stay here, and laugh away the fear."

Nova actually took out his earplugs so he could hear his voice better.

"Numb. Fine." Julian softly smiled, singing, "You create a rarity, of my genuine smile."

Nova found himself smiling too watching him.

"Can you drink all my thoughts? Cause I can't stand, them." "Ooh, oh." He strummed once more singing the last line of the song, "Intertwined."

When he finished everyone started cheering and screaming again. Nova stood up with everyone else but just clapped with a huge smile on his face.

It wasn't until ten minutes later that Julian was sitting on stage being interviewed. This was when Nova turned his camera back on to get photo's of him on stage.

Julian sat down and casually crossed his legs as the screaming continued. He grinned waving at the audience.

The host, David, laughed and tried to calm the audience down. "Okay, okay. Calm down everyone, or else you wont hear him."

Julian chuckled deeply shaking his head. He loved his fans.

"Well," the host said laughing again. "I think that's the loudest I've had an audience cheer, you've got quite the fans."

"Yeah, they're amazing," Julian said smiling charmingly.

"So, that was one of your songs for your new album correct?"

Julian nodded, "yeah, it's called intertwined."

"This is only your third album, and you're already one of the most biggest stars in america right now. You've been number one on the charts for over two months straight, how does it feel?"

"It is honestly, unbelievable. I did not think I would do this well." Julian didn't think his career would go this well so quickly. He's only been singing professionally for about three years.

"Does it ever get overwhelming with the constant moving around and screaming fans?"

"It can sometimes be a little to much for me, but my team helps me stay sane." "And I don't mind the fans, they're great," he said winking at the audience who screamed his name.

David chuckled and said, "I know you might get asked this a lot, but it's pretty much a given question." "How are things going with Layla, we saw you two out on a date the other day." A picture came up on the screen of Layla and Julian eating together and some in audience said 'aww'.

Julian gave an easy smile looking at the photo than back to David. "Were good, it's hard only being able to see her every couple months but we make it work."

The host nodded, "so you two have been together for how long now?"

"Uh it will be a year in November," Julian said while running a hand through his hair.

David smiled saying, "well congratulations on that."

"Thank you," he said smiling.

David chuckled and said, "well, were almost out of time, is there anything else you liked to add?"

"I will say, that we have a new photographer on our team, so if you see someone following me around with a camera don't freak out." Julian chuckled, "it's not a stalker."

The host laughed again, "would you like to point them out?" "Are they in the audience?"

Nova stiffened in his seat. He really did not want to be shown on television to the whole world. Don't point me out, don't point me out.

Julian looked out at the audience, his eyes skimming over Nova, even though he saw him. He knew he probably didn't want to be pointed out.

So Julian just looked back to the host and shook his head, "rather not, for now." "For their own protection."

Nova let out a breath, feeling instant relief flood through his body.

"Well thank you for taking time to talk with me," David said patting Julian's hand.

Julian laughed, "thanks for having me."

"I hope you enjoy your time in California." The host gestured to Julian, "Give him a round of applause." "Julian Kyle everybody!"

Julian stood up, grinned, and waved at the audience while he walked off stage.

Nova watched him walk off and took a few pictures before getting up from his seat and slyly walked out of the audience.

He got back stage and found Julian talking to Mark, looking angry. Mark was moving his hands and pointing at Julian.

Nova bit on his bottom lip and waited until he saw Mark away before slowly walking over to Julian.

Julian had his arms crossed over his chest and annoyed look on his face, but when he saw Nova it immediately went away. He gave him a light smile saying, "hey, did you enjoy the show?"

Nova decided not to ask him about Mark, not wanting to make him angry. "It was honestly incredible," he said smiling widely.

Julian felt his warmth in his chest at the sight of Nova being so happy, and he couldn't help but give him a matching smile. "I'm glad you liked it."

"Thank you by the way, you know, for not telling them who I was," Nova said smiling shyly and rubbing the back of his neck.

Julian chuckled softly nodding his head, smiling more. "You're welcome."

oh I forgot to add, any songs Julian 'sings' in this story are not mine. All lyrics go to the original singer/writer. They'll mostly be my favorite songs
