I Love You Miss Genius ( Bonnie Shepard ) CHAPTER 109
I Love You, Miss Genius
Chapter 109
Bonnie remained quiet for a moment before answering, âYeah, I have loads of birthday presents.â
Although none of her family gave her presents, she received loads from her friends and colleagues. There were so many that she could fill a train.
Avril noticed Bonnieâs brief pause and thought maybe Bonnie was lying. The former assumed Bonnie must have gotten no present at all but said she did to preserve her reputation.
âMy heart can just break for her!â
Avril removed her necklace and gave it to Bonnie, saying, âThis is my most cherished necklace. I hope you like it.â
âUmâ¦â
Avril crossed her arms and said, âThere can only be two reasons for you to turn down the offer. Itâs
either you hate it, or you donât want to be my friend.â
Since she put it that way, Bonnie could only accept it.
At that moment, Trina looked down on Bonnie, thinking, âHow pathetic that you only get one gift, Bonnie. Look at my pile of presents. There are so many that I can probably load a car with them. Itâs my birthday, and youâre not going to steal my limelight.â
Suddenly, fireworks exploded in the sky and disrupted her thoughts.
âIs somebody playing with fireworks? It sounds like quite the show.â
Everyone was curious about it and hurried out of the hotel. Then, they saw a magnificent sight. There were fireworks as far as the eyes could see, exploding and glowing against the night sky.
âWow! Theyâre wonderful! This grand gesture must cost a fortune. Just how many fireworks are there?â One of the guests uttered.
Immediately after, the fireworks exploded to form a brief phrase, âHappy birthday, Bonnie!â
âWait a minute. Bonnie?!â
Everyone gazed at her and realized she was just as shocked as them. Then, they realized it was a surprise for her.
âPerhaps the fireworks are for someone else with the same name.â One of the guests took a wild
guess.
Trina sighed in relief.
âThat was scary. I thought someone wasted all their money to make such a grand gesture for Bonnie.â
Trina mocked, âHow unfortunate, Bonnie. I know the fireworks arenât for you, even though it says your name. Still, you can pretend theyâre for you since itâs your birthday, too.â

âTrina, can you stoop any lower? I could just throw up right now. I used to think you were impressive for getting into Pyralis University. I also thought you were multiâtalented. The last thing I expected was for you to be this laughable.
âYou guys are Bonnieâs family, yet you didnât prepare any presents for her. Now youâre telling Bonnie to pretend the fireworks are for her. You suck so bad!â
The other guests started muttering, too. It was clear that they found Trina distasteful as well.
âI didnât mean anything by that. Also, I did prepare a gift for Bonnie.â Trina pointed at the pile of presents and looked at Bonnie, saying, âTake your pick. The only gift you canât pick is the one Hadwin gave me. I canât possibly give that to you. IâIâm sorry.â
âHmph, you can keep them. I have more than enough presents.â Bonnie checked the time and
remembered her plans with Heath. Although he said he would celebrate her birthday at midnight, it was just seven now. There was plenty of time left.
A moment later, more than a dozen Bentleys pulled over at the hotel entrance. Then, several dozen bodyguards stepped out with rose bouquets. They stood in a file and approached the guests.
Everyone was baffled by the sudden turn of events, but Bonnie recognized the sunglasses -wearing man at the forefront as Floyd.
Hadwinâs father, Draco, emerged from the crowd and asked, âHow can I help you, sir?â
Floyd replied, âWeâre here to celebrate her birthday.â
âHer? Whoâs her? Does he mean Trina?â
