I Love You Miss Genius ( Bonnie Shepard ) CHAPTER 179
I Love You, Miss Genius
Chapter 179
Bonnieâs aggressiveness frightened Trina. The latter screamed, âLet go of me! Youâre choking me, damn it! Mom, Dad, help! Bonnieâs trying to kill me!â
Vera and Gresham heard the commotion and ran downstairs. The former grabbed Bonnieâs sleeve and pulled her away. âBonnie, what are you doing?! Let go of her, or Iâll call the cops!â
Gresham prepared to get physical, saying, âBonnie, are you deaf?! You donât belong here anymore, so stop behaving so recklessly in my house!â
Bonnie turned and glared at the older couple. âIâll let go if she retrieves the sweater from the trash!â
âWhat sweater?â Vera and Gresham were puzzled as they looked at the trash bin. Indeed, there was a sweater inside. âWhatâs going on here?â
Bonnie gritted her teeth, saying, âMy mom knitted that for Trina as a birthday gift. Itâs okay if she doesnât like it, but she doesnât have to throw it away. I donât care if Trina is reluctant to accept someone from the countryside as her mother, but sheâs still Trinaâs biological mother.â
âIs that true, Trina?â Vera frowned. Although she disliked country folk and looked down on them, the sweater was still a personal gift from Trinaâs birth mother. If Trina really did throw the sweater away, it would speak volumes about her character.
Suddenly, Welmaâs voice sounded, âTrina, is that true? Do you despise me that much?â
Trina turned to see Welma and Gerald. The former felt a sudden pang of guilt.
Earlier, Welma and Gerald waited outside for Benedict to return. After a brief discussion, they decided to enter the house. However, they did not expect to hear what Bonnie said.
Bonnieâs heart raced as she looked at her foster parents, especially Welma, who was on the verge of
tears.
âNo, itâs not true! Bonnieâs making things up!â Trina began to sob. âSheâs jealous that you gave me the sweater and snatched it from me. She was the one who threw it away. Ä® got angry and scolded her, and then she tried to strangle me!
âYâYou guys have to believe me. Why would I throw away such a precious gift? Iâd be worse than an animal if I did that!â
Vera and Gresham nodded, saying, âWe believe Trina. Bonnie, let go of her now!â
Bonnie remained stubborn. âI said Iâd let her go once she retrieves the sweater from the trash.â
Trina looked at Welma and Gerald tearfully. âDo you believe Bonnie?â
âThatâsâ¦â Welma and Gerald were in a dilemma.
âTrina isnât like that!â Vera scolded, âWe disowned Bonnie specifically because sheâs a terrible person who disgraces the familyâs reputation.â
Chapter 179
Welma refused to believe that statement. âWe raised Bonnie. Thereâs no way sheâs as you described.â
