I Love You Miss Genius ( Bonnie Shepard ) CHAPTER 184
I Love You, Miss Genius
Chapter 184
âYeah, Iâm the patient. Iâve had this issue with my legs for many years. Think you can fix it, Doc?â Winnie looked at Bonnie with hopeful eyes.
âLet me take a look first,â Bonnie said, though she already knew she could heal Winnieâs legs. After a quick examination, she added, âItâs pretty severe, but I can treat it. Still, it might take some time for you to recover fully.â
Winnie was overjoyed. She grabbed Bonnieâs hand and said, âReally? You can cure me?â
Ivor glanced at Bonnieâs hand and noticed its complexion matched her exposed neck. He began to wonder if he had been overthinking things.
âPerhaps Bonnie really was just teasing Grandma.â
Bonnie noticed Ivor gazing at her hand. She could not help but smirk beneath her mask. She knew he was always observant and suspicious. With what Bonnie told Winnie several days ago, it was highly likely that the older woman had told Ivor about it.
That was why Bonnie chose to disguise herself as a man. Initially, she did not mind revealing her identity to Winne. However, Bonnie saw Winnieâs disbelief and figured explaining it to Ivor would be another hassle. After careful reconsideration, she opted not to expose her true identity.
Nonetheless, she reassured Winnie, âDonât worry. I can cure your legs.â
Winne was ecstatic. âYouâre amazing! I donât feel any soreness already. Youâre a miracle worker, Doc.â
Bonnie smiled while packing her things. She then stood up and said, âIâll come back at the same time next week.â
As she was about to leave, Ivor stood up and said, âIâll walk you out.â
âNo need to be so formal, Mr. Ivor. You should stay and care for your grandma instead. I have something to attend to anyway.â Bonnie felt uneasy under Ivorâs intense gaze.
âItâs okay. Iâll escort you out,â Ivor insisted, âI want to discuss my grandmotherâs treatment with you.â
Bonnie was unable to decline his offer and could only agree reluctantly, âAll right
then.â
While walking ahead, Bonnie said, âIâve explained your grandmaâs situation
properly just now, Mr. Ivor. Do you have further questions?â
Ivor scrutinized Bonnie from head to toe and asked, âYou mentioned that she wonât show immediate results. How long till this whole thing blows over? Iâd like to have an idea of when that is.â
âWell⦠At least three months. Your grandmaâs leg issue has been around for a while, after all. We need to treat it slowly and canât rush it. Weâll gradually remove the osteoarthritis and then strengthen her body. She should be as good as new within six months,â Bonnie explained.
âSix months, huh?â Ivor looked surprised. âThen sheâll be as good as new?â
Ivor sighed and added, âIâm curious. If youâre so skilled at medicine, why havenât I heard much about you?â
Bonnie raised a brow. âIf that were the case, do you think Iâd have time for my personal affairs? Besides, medicine is just my hobby, not my primary profession.â
Ivor was even more surprised.
âItâs just a hobby, yet heâs already achieved so much? Who is this guy?â âWeâve talked for so long, and I still donât know your name, Doc.â
