I Love You Miss Genius ( Bonnie Shepard ) CHAPTER 233
I Love You, Miss Genius
Chapter 233
âMom, Dad, I heard Bonnie has a secret lover. Still, I donât know whether or not itâs true. We can hire someone to follow her. If the rumor turns out to be true, we can catch them in the act and then inform Mr. Hamish.
âWe can show him Bonnieâs true colors. She wonât be so arrogant then. Mr. Hamish wonât continue oppressing us once he sees that.â
Dermot and Nia lit up. One of them asked, âIs the source trustworthy?â
âA friend of mine told me about it. Bonnieâs classmate is spreading the word. There must be some truth to it, right? Thatâs why I suggested tracking Bonnie and contacting some of her classmates. Weâll find out the truth sooner or later.â
âAt this point, it seems like the only thing we can do.â
Since Ivorâs birthday was on the fourteenth of August, Bonnie took a leave of absence from all her work to accompany him to the mall. Ivor brought her to a womenâs clothing store, picked up a dress, and held it against her, saying, âThis one suits you.
He then placed a pair of shoes near Bonnieâs feet and said. âThese shoes will go perfectly with that dress. Weâll pick a suitable bag and some jewelry to complete the look later.â
))
He pictured how Bonnie would look after dressing up. Looking at Ivor bustling around, she said, Todayâs your birthday, not mine. Iâm supposed to buy you gifts. Why are you buying me things instead?â
((
Ivor smiled. âWhatâs the difference? Whether itâs your birthday or mine, I want to be with you and make you the happiest person in the world.â
His words touched Bonnie, but she suppressed her emotions, saying, âI didnât expect you to be such a
smooth talker.â
âThatâs where youâre wrong. That wasnât smooth talk. It was just the truth.â Ivor looked at Bonnie indulgently.
âWhatever.â Bonnie could not bear his gaze, so she avoided it and went to the other side of the store.
Ivor smirked and then picked out a few more clothes to compare them to Bonnie.
âAll right, letâs go.â Bonnie pulled his hand away. âIâll take you to the menâs clothing store across the street. Since itâs your birthday, you can pick whatever you want.â
Ivor felt good when Bonnie held his hand. âYou can help me pick a gift. Iâll pay for it.â
Bonnie glanced at him disdainfully. âSo, you think I canât afford to buy you a gift?â
Ivor knew he had hurt her pride and quickly explained, âThâthatâs not what I meant. Itâs just that
things in this mall are expensive, and youâre still a student. I feel bad experting you to pay for me.â
After leading Ivor to the menâs clothing store, Bonnie released his hand and said, âDonât worry about the price, and pick whatever you want. I can afford it.â
Finally, Ivor remembered something. He said, âI forgot about the time you tricked Xavier into giving you so much money.â
Bonnie resisted the urge to roll her eyes again. âWhat do you mean trick? I told you I outsmarted
him.
âOh, right. You outsmarted Xavier. Sorry.â Ivor laughed and then looked at the clothes in the store. You can help me choose now.
Bonnie started carefully picking the clothes. She wanted to choose them based on Ivorâs
temperament, but she realized handsome men looked good in anything.
Ivor tried on several sets of clothes she picked, and each one was stunning. Bonnie could not help but mutter, âYouâre a male version of a femme fatale.â
âHmm? What was that?â Ivor suddenly leaned closer to Bonnie.
