I Love You, Miss Genius

Bonnie turned and looked at the man behind her, only to notice him wearing his mask. She wondered why he already had his mask on when they had not even started shooting.
In the plot, the male lead was the cursed child of an angel and a demon. His face was hideous and resembled that of a hellspawnâs. The villagers were terrified of him, and even kids
stoned him.
The main character then wore a mask to cover his hideous face. However, fortune smiled upon him when he eventually found Freya, who looked past his shortcomings and fed him. Moreover, she healed him with her herbs. As time passed, they fell in love.
The director asked, âWhereâd you go, Orpheus?â
âOrpheusâ deepened his voice, saying, âI had a stomachache and went to the toilet.â
âHuh? Whatâs wrong with your voice? You sound weird.â
âMy throatâs a little sore, but Iâll be okay. Iâll just drink some water, and itâll pass.â
âOh, okay then. Hurry up and prepare for the shooting. Itâll start raining soon.â The director looked at the cloudy sky and said, âHere, letâs go through the scene weâre about to shoot.â
âOrpheus, you pin Bonnie to the ground and kiss her.â
âI thought there werenât any kissing scenes.â
Bonnie looked at âOrpheusâ curiously, thinking, âI canât explain it, but something seems off about Orpheus today.â
âDidnât I write it on the script that itâs a fakeâout? Your enemies will appear before you can kiss her. Freya will then shield you from the arrows and die. As she draws her last breath, sheâll remove your mask and reveal your face.
âTo the audienceâs surprise, youâll be hideous and goodâlooking. Youâre so stunning that no one can ever compare to your looks. It turns out the aforementioned curse subjected you to a cruel fate. The woman you love more than life itself is destined to die before you,â the director rambled on.
âUnderstood.â Orpheus nodded.
âItâs good Iâm here today, or Bonnie will come close to kissing Orpheus. Damn it!â
Meanwhile, Bonnie kept staring at âOrpheusâ and then pointed toward the paddy field. She said, âItâs about to start raining. Letâs go.â

âAll right then.â
When the duo reached the paddy field, the director yelled, âAction!â
âOrpheusâ pinned Bonnie to the ground. The girls who were watching the scene blushed, but no one knew he stuck one of his hands behind Bonnieâs head.
Her eyes widened as she stared at the eyes underneath the masks. Moreover, âOrpheusâ firm chest reminded Bonnie of someone. As Bonnie was shocked by the realization, âOrpheusâ lowered his head and motioned to kiss her.
Thumpâthump! Thumpâthump! Thumpâthump!
Bonnie felt her heart pounding and increasing in speed. As their lips drew closer, âOrpheusâ stopped.
âHuh?â Bonnie was surprised. âIf it were Ivor, he wouldâve never passed on a chance to take advantage of me. What made him stop?â
âSplendid work! Well done, you two!â The director was thrilled. âAll right, prepare the
archers!â
Everything was in place when an arrow suddenly flew at them. Bonnie instinctively pushed Orpheusâ away.
Gush!
The arrow embedded itself in her. The director could see the emotional shifts in
Orpheusâsâ eyes through the monitor. It seemed like âOrpheusâ could not believe his wife was dying. He had fallen into a boundless abyss and drowned in anguish.
