Ged was at a loss for words.

Then, he said, “Bonnie’s such an extraordinary lady, Ivor. There’s going to be countless guys trying to win her heart I think there’s a good chance she has as many guys hitting on her as you do from ladies.

“She might have more people hitting on her than you do. If you keep moving at a snail’s pace, someone else might win her heart. I heard that Dominick’s eldest son is returning from overseas soon. I think you know him better than I do.

“After all, you guys used to be the closest friends back in the day. Although he’s completely different from you in terms of character, and he’s a bit of an airhead, he likes the same thing you do.

“You guys are practically the same regarding tastes and preferences! To make matters worse, he’s exceptionally stunning and is very good at making people like him. What will you do if he returns and falls

in love with her?”

Ivor’s hands, which were holding a ballpen, clutched it tighter instinctively.

“Bonnie doesn’t like guys like that.”

“You can’t be sure about that! Bonnie might’ve been a mature lady, much like you are, but what do they

say about people loving their opposites? She just might have a thing for men like Thaddeus Sherman.”

“Crack!” Ivor snapped the ballpen in half.

Ged stopped speaking immediately. Clearing his throat, he said, “Ahem. Well. You did spend a longer time

with Bonnie, after all. You do have that in your cards. You probably stand a bigger chance of winning her

heart

“How about this? I will show you a move to help you get to home base tonight.”

Ivor relaxed a little when he heard it.

“What is it?”

“You’ll seduce her. She won’t know what hit her. Ask her out for a swim tonight. If memory serves me

right, you have a villa with a pool. Take her there, strip yourself naked, and throw yourself to her.”

Ged found his idea thrilling, but Ivor was frowning when he turned and looked at him.

“What’s the matter? Don’t you think it’s a swell idea? I think it’s the perfect plan!”

Pursing his lips, Ivor said, “What you said reminded me of what Bonnie told me.”

“What do you mean?”

“We’ve just gotten our certificates then. I told her not to intervene in my personal life or even try to seduce me. Then, she told me I could stuff it because she wouldn’t bat an eye at me even if I got naked.”

For a second there, Ged wasn’t sure what to say.

“This is your fault. Why do you have to be this nasty back then? Great job, Ivor. You could’ve won her heart

with my amazing plan.”

“Are you forgetting something? You were ten times harsher than I was back then.” Ivor retorted and said….

Ged parted her lips. Every bad thing he said about Bonnie was flashing in his mind now. How he wished he could slap himself now.

The night rolled on.

Bonnie and Ivor arrived at his villa in a car.

“Just what kind of a surprise did you prepare for me?”

Half an hour ago, Ivor took her away abruptly and said he had a surprise for her.

“You’ll find out,” he said, trying to lure her in. Then, he opened the car door for her.

Bewildered, she walked into the villa.

The first thing she saw was the pool when she got inside. It was brimming with rose petals. She was at a

loss for words.

“I–Is this the surprise you got for me?”

“I noticed you loved swimming the last time we went to the beach. So, I made some arrangements.”

This was all Ged’s ideas.

Crouching, she reached into the pool and scooped up a handful of rose petals. “The pool is so huge. How many roses did you use for this?”

“Oh, it’s nothing. I bought all the roses from every florist in ten blocks.”

She didn’t know what to say to that.

“Come on. I prepared a swimsuit for you. Go ahead and change into it.” Then, he realized she was still frozen to the spot. So, he reached out, gave her a gentle shove, and led her to the fitting room.

“Relax. I picked normal swimsuits for you.”

She felt helpless as she was led into the fitting room, and once she went inside, she was stunned yet

again.

There were swimsuits as far as the eyes could see. There had got to be at least eight hundred pieces of

swimsuits here.
