I Love You Miss Genius ( Bonnie Shepard ) CHAPTER 428
I Love You, Miss Genius
Chapter 428
Bonnieâs brows knitted tightly. âWhy couldnât you have been more careful?â
It mightâve sounded like she was scolding him, but the deep affection in her tone was unmistakable.
Ivorâs lips curled into a smile. âItâs great that my hands got burnt. Otherwise, I wouldnât know how much she cared about me.â
âItâs okay. These are but small injuries. Itâll recover by itself after a few days.â
Turning around, she climbed the stairs and brought her medkit down. âIâm going to pierce the blisters and apply some ointment. Youâll have to bear with it.â
âItâs okay, I mean it. You should go back to dinner. You mustâve been exhausted after an entire day of classes.â
âStop moving!â One phrase. That was all it took for Ivor to stop in his tracks.
Ged had just come in when he saw this moment. âWhat a bad timing.â
âI came here for a free meal. Why do I have to suffer this loveyâdovey moment?â
Then, he walked over to their side and saw the blisters on Ivorâs hands.
âWhatâs going on with your hands, Ivor?â
Vince responded, âIvor was burnt when he tried to cook.â
That stunned Ged. âDâDid the boy just say youâre trying to cook, Ivor?â Then, he looked at the sky and said, âI wonder if the sunâs going to come out from the west tomorrow.â
Averting his gaze from the sky, he watched Bonnie apply the ointment for Ivor. He pursed his lips. It didnât take a genius to figure out why Ivor was cooking.
âLetâs see. How does your cooking taste?â
He randomly picked a dish and popped it into his mouth.
âMmm! It tastes great! I didnât think youâd be able to cook this well!â
Ivor looked at her with humor in his eyes. âThatâs because I have a wonderful fiancé.â
Suddenly, Ged didnât think his dishes were as delicious as they were a second ago. âTsk tsk tsk! Itâs salty. It tastes very salty! Did you pour a whole bottle of salt into your dishes?â
Vince proceeded to eat several more mouthfuls. Then, he said, bewildered, âIt isnât sour,

though. Theyâre delicious if you ask me.â

âYouâre just a kid. You wonât get it.â Ged looked at the little boyâs delicate face. At the next moment, he said puzzlingly.
âHuh? Donât you find the little boyâs mug a little familiar? Why do I get the feeling Iâve seen
him before?â
Ivor and Bonnie glance at Vince. Truthfully, they feel the same way.
Later, she packed up her medkit and told Ivor, âTomorrowâs Saturday. You should take a good rest at home. You donât have to drop by,â
âIf he comes here and sees me teaching Thaddeus how to cook, heâs just going to be jealous.â
âTomorrow is an off day, yet you asked me to stay away. Are you planning on bringing someone here?â
What he said made her feel a little on edge.
âGeez. He knows me well.â
âYouâre reading too much into it. Werenât you very busy for the past week? Also, your hands are burnt. You need to take it easy.â
Ivor was eyeing her sharply. Then, an idea came to her, and she said, âTo be honest, Iâm exhausted too. Iâm going to sleep in and let myself relax tomorrow. Once Iâm wellârested, Iâll go to your place and make you dinner.â
He relaxed a little and said, âOkay. Iâll be waiting.â
On their way back, Ged realized that his friend was always sporting a sour face.
âWhy are you still this annoyed? She didnât want you to go to her place tomorrow because she didnât want you to tire yourself out. Moreover, she said sheâs going to make you dinner.â âWhen has she pampered me like that?â Ivor squinted and said coldly.
