I Love You Miss Genius ( Bonnie Shepard ) CHAPTER 443
I Love You, Miss Genius
Chapter 443
âWhat do you mean?â
Now that she had her parentâs attention, Trina said with a chokedâup voice, âThe Bonita Research Institute released an official tweet, saying that the winner of Pyralis Universityâs Scientific Research Competition will be offered an internship at their institute.â
âWhat? Are you serious?!â Vera and Gresham were shocked by this news.
âUhâhuh. Thereâs more. If the intern managed to excel, they might consider letting her work at the
Institute.â
Tears began flowing down her cheeks.
âWhat should I do?! I would still be studying at Pyralis University if I hadnât offended Bonnie. You know how talented I am in scientific research. I stand a really good chance of winning that competition and getting an internship at Bonita Research Institute.
âThis is all Bonnieâs fault. She ruined my bright future!â She cried her heart out.
âItâs alright, Trina. Stop crying. Youâre breaking my heart. Youâre one of the most talented people Iâve ever seen. Iâd even say youâre born to do it. Donât worry, I wonât let your talent go to waste.â
Vera looked at her husband and said, âYou need to figure something out, honey.â
Gresham breathed out a puff of smoke, his face looking distressed.
âHow am I supposed to do that? I warned Trina not to cross Bonnie again, but she wouldnât listen. I event released a video on my Twitter account earlier. Now everyone knows Bonnie has nothing to do with met and the Shepards. Furthermore, I said weâd never look for her again.
âDonât you see that youâre making me humiliate myself by asking me to talk to her? Whatâs more, you know how Bonnie is. Sheâs going to let me have it. No way! Iâm not going to look for her!â
Trina cried even louder at that. âIâm sorry, Dad. I promise Iâve learned the error of my ways. You have to help me. I swear I wonât ever pick a fight with Bonnie anymore. I beg you. Iâm going to repay you guys when I find success.â
Vera wiped her daughterâs tears, pursed her lips, and made a decision. âDonât worry about it, Trina. Iâm going to help you and get over this hump!â
âWhat do you think youâre doing?â Gresham asked, âAre you honestly going to look for Bonnie? Itâs pointless. You know how she is.â
Clenching her fist, she said, âThatâs right! Iâm going to look for Bonnie! If she refuses to let Trina return to the university, I will get down on my knees in front of all the students and professors. She has to agree to it, then.â
Trina beamed as soon as she heard what her mother said. âBonnie has to let me return to Pyralis University now. Otherwise, everyoneâs going to reprimand her for making her own mother kneel before her.
âThatâs outrageous! It doesnât matter what happened between us, you are her biological mother. Youâre going to humiliate yourself!â Gresham vehemently disagreed with the way she was going to handle it.
âHmph!â Vera grunted coldly. âTrina is our daughter, and sheâs immensely talented. As her parents, we must ensure her academic life and career are smooth sailing.
âYou wonât do it. So, Iâll have to do it myself. Iâm going to Pyralis University first thing in the morning!â
The next morning. Bonnie had just arrived at the university when Vera stood in front of her.
Is there anything I can help you with, Vera?â
Vera wasnât bothered by Bonnieâs disrespectful tone. The way she saw it, their blood ties were as good as nonexistent.
âWeâve heard about the collaboration between Bonita Research Institute and Pyralis University. The winner of the universityâs research competition will win an internship at the institute. Trina is immensely gifted. She deserves to have a shot at it.â
Bonnieâs delicate brows furrowed slightly as she spoke. âAre you trying to make me reinstate her status as a student here?â
Before Vera could say anything, Bonnie continued, âThatâs not going to happen. Back when she was expelled from the university, I said explicitly that I wouldnât do it again, provided she didnât cross me
again.
âHowever, she didnât learn her lesson. She kept bugging me and got expelled again. She did this to
herself.â
Vera was beside herself with rage. Noticing that more onlookers were gathering around them, she cried out at the top of her lungs.
