I Love You Miss Genius ( Bonnie Shepard ) CHAPTER 91
I Love You, Miss Genius
Chapter 91

âProfessor Terry and the others were acting funnily earlier,â Ivor probed. Bonnie wasnât surprised he was asking her about this. Something would be wrong if someone as smart as him hadnât questioned.
her.
âWhat do you mean?â
He responded by staring at her. âWhat do you think?â
âI didnât notice anything,â She replied.
He smiled. âColor me curious. Why were you with Ms. Bonitaâs researchers?â
âOh. That was just a coincidence.â
âYou ran into them by chance? Do they know you?â
âWhatâs so strange about that? After all, I won the Best Scholar Award this year.â
âMany people get that award every year, but none of them become particularly close to those researchers because of that.â
âMaybe it was because I got a perfect score on my SATS. Would you say there are a lot of Best Scholars like me?â
Her answer wasnât exactly convincing, but he couldnât really argue with her.
âYou say that, but Professor Terry and the others acted very differently around youâ¦â He lowered his gaze and fixed his eyes on her.
She raised her brow. âDid they?â
They locked gazes for a full minute before Ivor conceded. He shook himself off and asked, âDid you see Ms. Bonita?â
When he had seen Bonnie leaving the private room with the professors, the door hadnât been pushed all the way back, and he thought he heard them complimenting Ms. Bonita.
âI didnât see her,â Bonnie responded.
She was lying. He was sure of it, but he didnât expose her. He wondered just how many secrets she had. He felt as if he was a traveler braving the dragonâs lair in search of treasure. Heâd love to search for the âtreasureâ within her.
âTheyâre gone.â Hadwin tugged at Trina, who was rooted to the spot.
âHuh? Oh.â She came to her senses, part of her still reliving what happened earlier.
He squinted. It was hard to read his thoughts, but there was a hint of disdain in his eyes.

âI told you we shouldnât stay here and try to see Ms. Bonita. Look where it got you. You can kiss your chance of a career at her research institute goodbye.â
Trina felt as if someone had stabbed her in the heart. She cursed Bonnie. She wouldnât have ended up
here if it wasnât for her.
âHuh?â Something occurred to Trina. Whipping her head toward the private room, she asked, â
Whereâs Ms. Bonita?â
Hadwin came to his senses. He was so focused on what happened to Trina that he had forgotten about
this important business.
She was right! Where was Ms. Bonita? Why hadnât they seen her? Wasnât it her research instituteâs anniversary today? She should be here.
âIs she still in there?â Trina took a wild guess.
Hadwin walked to the door and found that it was shut tight. He wasnât sure if there was anyone inside.
Trina reached out, about to push the door open, but Hadwin stopped her.
âYouâre out of your mind! Do you realize you might disturb her if she really is inside?â
