I Love You Miss Genius ( Bonnie Shepard ) CHAPTER 92
I Love You, Miss Genius
Chapter 92
âItâll be okay. I know how to deal with it.â Trina was dead set on going into the private room.
Things had gone bad enough. What did she have to lose? Nothing ventured, nothing gained. She might as well roll the dice and see if she was lucky.
She could recommend herself to Ms. Bonita if fortune smiled on her. Maybe Ms. Bonita would be impressed by her talents and take her in.
She didnât want to think about it any longer, so she pushed the door open decisively.
No one was inside..
How anticlimactic!
âThis is weird. Whereâs Ms. Bonita?â
âCould she have quietly left in all the commotion?â Hadwin guessed.
Trina felt disappointed. All her hopes were dashed. At that moment, Vera called.
âHow did it go, Trina? Did you manage to see Ms. Bonita?â Vera asked excitedly.
Trina clenched her fist and she said softly, âLuck wasnât on my side. I didnât bump into her.â
She couldnât tell Vera and Gresham that Bonnie had lunch with Ms. Bonitaâs researchers. If they found out how wellâconnected Bonnie was, it might threaten her standing in the family.
She would never tell anyone about this. She needed to move fast and find something Bonnie. How on earth had she managed to meet the researchers?
10 hold over
Bonnie had moved out of the family home because she was preparing for the SATS, but she hadnât come back home even after it was over.
Could it be possible that she wasnât living on her own? She could be living with a sugar daddy. She might be someoneâs mistress! She could be sleeping with a man!
Trina was shocked. If that was true, then Bonnie had better prepare herself for some sweet revenge.
âItâs been a long time since Bonnie was home, Mom. Letâs invite her back for breakfast.â
âI would have completely forgotten about that if you hadnât brought it up. The SATs are over. Why hasnât she come back home?â
âWeâll know when we see her tonight.â
âHmmâ¦â
There were five more days until the end of Ivor and Bonnieâs engagement. However, Vera asked Bonnie to return home early in the morning.
Ivor watched as the car pulled out of the villa. He stared at it for a while before averting his gaze.
Floyd entered his room with a frown.
âI sent my men out to investigate Tim, Mr. Ivor, but they didnât get anything on him.â
Ivor turned around to look at Floyd, who continued, âHeâs squeaky clean.â
Floyd handed a document to his master and kept going. âHis background checks out. He was born in an ordinary family. If it was a forged identity, we would have been able to figure it out since we have the power of the Knights behind us.
Ivor paged through the document carefully, his sharp eyes growing darker.
âDonât you think his background is a little too clean?
Floyd seemed to catch his masterâs meaning, but he couldnât exactly say what it was. He merely looked at him. Ivor was extraordinarily perceptive. If he thought something was up with Tim, Tim would definitely have some secrets.
âIâll figure out a way to get something out of this.â
âOkay.âIvor nodded, satisfied, âBut thereâs no need to move too quickly. Tim hasnât shown any animosity toward us yet. Iâm wondering if he came here to protect somebody.â
âWho is he trying to protect? Could it be Ms. Bonnie?â Floyd asked.
