Time To Let Go

I was sitting in the cafeteria with my crew. This person from the year book club was taking our pictures to put in the year book. We had to make the pictures look good so Trina and my cousin thought it would be cool for Quetta to take the pictures with us since she was apart of the crew. Key word WAS, I was still a little pissed about her putting her hands on me. She apologized but I still wasn't talking to her.

"Can we get Vanessa and Quetta in one alone?" The camera girl asked. I smacked my lips but I agreed to it anyway.

"Yall know yall are the school's favorite couple. It would be cute in the year book" Harland said smirking and I looked at him and gave him the finger.

"Yeah I heard that you two are runner up for senior's favorite couple this year" The camera girl chimed in as she directed me to where she wanted me to sit to take the picture.

"That was a joke. She's dating Drew" Harland said with his hands up

"Right who voted us favorite couple they not together" Kaylyn said confused as I was too.

"I guess the school love you to together" The girl said smirking. I honestly didn't care. Anything to get under Drew skin I was all for it.

"Yass yall are cute together" Trina said laughing

I was sitting on top on the lunch table as Quetta sat between my legs with my arms around her neck as I kissed her cheek. I knew Drew was gone be hella pissed. Quetta wasn't saying shit so I was all for it.

"Vanessa can I talk to you for a minute?" Someone said and it was Jennifer. I was shocked she wanted to speak to me. Me and Jennifer was never cool with each other. She was Terrianna best friend and she never liked me for a reason I don't know.

"Umm I guess wassup" I said

"In private please" She said nervous as hell and I nodded. As was about to get up and go off to someone where I heard my name once again.

"So, you just gone keep ignoring me huh Vanessa" I turned to see Terrianna standing there with her hand on her hip looking at me. I rolled my eyes and turned around. I did miss her being around but she has changed so much, she was never like this before. I don't know what has gotten in to her.

I tried to ignore her but she kept poking me on my shoulder I knew she wasn't gone go away.

"Hello, I know you hear me" she said poking me once again and I turned around fast as hell because I was really gone go off on her ass for poking me. She was poking me hella hard too.

"What" I said snapping at her. She leaned back like she was shocked.

"I just want to talk to you.....in private" she said looking at Quetta with a stare.

"Nah I Jennifer was here first you have to wait your trun" I said looking over at Jennifer who had her head down.

"It's cool Vanessa. I'll catch you later" She said walking off fast before I could say anything. I turned to see Quetta and Terrianna having at stare off.

"Don't start with me today Beetlejuice" Quetta said trying to get in her face but I grabbed her arm and pulled her back. The crew was laughing at her little comment.

"Come on" I said to Terrianna walking out the cafeteria as she followed behind me.

"So, this is the new you and you with that bitch" Terrianna said poking me in my head with her finger.

"Terrianna don't make me throw your ass across the damn floor, last time I remember you broke it off with me. You thought I was gone come chase yo ass" I said leaning against the wall.

"I know I messed up but I was upset and I miss you, please come back" she said getting close to me.

"You went too far with this shit and you had the nerve to jump Kia. That was a bitch ass move and you know it, but this is not what this is about. You changed a lot since you came back from Vegas. I don't even know who you are anymore" I said gently pushing her back.

"Baby please don't do this. I love you" she said with her hands on my face. I pushed her hands off me.

"You lost your chance to be with me and you blew it, I don't know what else you want me to say " I said getting ready to walk away put she pulled me back to the wall and kissed me and I gently pushed her back and looked her.

"Sorry Terrianna it's just not how it used to be" I said and I walked off. Terrianna used to be so fun and we never took a break from each other.

She was showing me another side of her that I didn't like and I think that's what drove us apart. It's crazy how when Kia came to the school and everything changes within a blink of an eye. I guess going our separate was for the best anyway since I will be graduating soon and she will still be here. I'm trying do big things once I graduate and get my own shit. I'm focused on my future not a relationship right now.

I wonder what Jennifer wanted to talk to me about.
