Vanessa- Lunch Time

I was on my way to the library to meet with Kia for this homework. I was on my phone trying to text Terrianna telling her we needed to talk until I bumped into Jennifer, who is Terrianna best friend.

"Vanessa". She said with her arms folded on her chest

"What's up"? I said looking around. Knowing Jennifer, she nosey as hell and she be ready to find some dirty on me to tell Terrianna.

"I actually was looking Terrianna have you seen her?" She asked

"Nah. I was looking for her too" I said looking down at my phone

"Has she been acting weird to you lately?" She asks

"I been getting the same energy from her too. I don't know what's going on tho. I barley here from her during school" I said honestly

"Same here" she nodded. Things were getting awkward between us because we never say more than two words between us. She was about to say something but Terrianna came out the library walking to us.

"We were just looking for you" Jennifer said

"Yeah you been M.I.A lately" I said and she shrugged her shoulders looking a little confused. "Where you finna go?" I asked

"Nothing just going off to lunch with jenny. You needed to talk?" she says looking at me with that look on her face.

"Umm I have to go meet up with somebody right now to go over some homework but yeah we need to talk later, so yall have fun, see ya later". I said walking off before she even got the chance to say anything else.

Her and her friend was acting very weird and Jennifer looked like she wanted to tell me something but didn't. I don't know what's going on but I was started to think this rumor was true. I just wanted to get over this day.

I looked around for Kia. I found her in the way back, so nobody could really see us.

"Hey, you really in the cut back here" I said smiling.

"Well, I can't really concentrate with everybody being so loud" she said taking out her chemistry homework. She was right even though we had a big ass library everybody was so damn loud. We got straight to doing our homework because it was due right after lunch. Lucky, we got done in time and still had at least 30-minute left before class started.

"So, the conversation we had earlier, what was that about?" I asked as I studied her face

"I'm sorry if I upset you. I was just repeating what some of my classmates were saying" she said putting her papers back in her backpack.

"Where did you hear that from tho?" I asked

"Promise not to say anything but I heard if from Jessica." She said looking nervous.

"Oh okay. I won't say you said anything" I said honestly

"Yeah Jessica was telling me all about yall situation because I had asked about you and to see if you had a girlfriend" She said shyly

"Oh you was feeling the kid huh?" I said smirking

"Maybe just a little bit" She said and we laughed

"You don't have to be shy around me shorty" I said

"Besides Jessica and Caryn. You the only person I have talked to outside of them. Everybody else is like not so welcoming" She said

"I can always introduce you to some people" I said thinking about my crazy ass crew.

"I would like that because I'm getting tired of Jessica between me and you" She said and we laughed

We started talking about everything our families, dreams, and goals and we just had a connection and we just clicked. She was really cool but something about her just threw me off and I couldn't put my finger on it. But as we talked more and more and we opened up to each other a little bit, that thought went to the back of my mind.

Jennifer

"What were you and Vanessa talking about?" I Terrianna asked me as we walked to the lunch room.

"Nothing we were just looking for you" I said nervously

"I don't want you talking to her. I can't trust you" she said and I was a little taken back

"What do you mean you don't trust me?" I asked hurt

"You might end up saying something and I don't need her trying to kill me" She explained as she pulled me to the side making sure nobody heard us

"This little plan yall got going on has nothing to do with me. I honestly don't think it's right and I don't want any parts" I said in an angry lower voice

"Look you are what I tell you are. I don't need this getting out so you need to shut your mouth" She said grabbing me and I pushed her off me

"I'm not your child so don't put your hands on me bitch. You can find somewhere else to hide her because I'm done" I said trying to walk away but she grabbed me again

"Your mom is in the hospital fighting cancer, right?" She said smirking as I turned around

"You leave my mom out of this" I said hurt that she would try to use my mom.

"I am volunteering there this weekend and I would hate to have something to happen to her" She smiled deviously and pushed passed me walking off

Terrianna doesn't scare me but I would hate for something to happen to my mother. A plan was just supposed to get Vanessa back a funny prank, but this plan is going to far and I don't want no parts.

I need to find out how am I going to tell Vanessa and fast. I have to watch my back now.
