: Chapter 29
Bad Little Bride
Enzo kisses up my scar, over my shoulder, then up my collarbone, sucking on the deepest curve of the column of my neck, leaving yet another mark behind. My body is covered in them by now, but I welcome the soft stingâ¦and the hickey he leaves behind. This will be the only one visible today as it is. I think.
âEnzo.â
âBaby.â
âWe have to get up.â
âItâs our wedding. We arrive when we arrive.â
A small smile curves my mouth, and I go to look at him over my shoulder, but he captures my lips instantly, hand coming around and cupping my jaw as he pushes his tongue inside, sweeping it along mine with long, languid strokes. Heat flares in my core and I moan into him, whining unintentionally when he pulls back. His forehead drops to mine just as I feel something cool press against my chest.
Looking down, I find my ring, dangling from a small chain the same shade of rose gold as the band.
âYou might not be able to put it on your finger yet, and you might decide you donât want it on there at all now, but just in caseâ¦â
I open my palm, and he sets the necklace in my hand, drawing my left up and kissing my ring finger for the hundredth time. âDoes this mean Iâm allowed to take it off when I dance now?â I tease.
âBaby, you can throw it in the lake if you want.â He shifts slightly, crawling over me and pushing me onto my back. âMy name is on your skin.â He pushes inside me in one slow thrust, making both of us groan in unison. âAnd today, everyone we know will either be witness to, or made aware that this thing between us is no time passer, but the be-all and end-fucking-all. They will hear your name and when they speak it, my name will be the one to follow. Enzo Fikile. Mrs. Enzo Fikile. Boston Fikile, Enzo Fikileâs wife.â He buries himself deeper, arching up into me, bending and taking my nipple between his teeth. âMine,â he hisses, eyes flicking up and taking mine hostage. âEvery inch. Every breath. Every fucking day.â
âYes.â I move with him, already on the edge of climax when thereâs a knock at the door.
But Enzo doesnât stop.
âWhat?!â he demands, still moving inside me.
I bite into his shoulder to keep from crying out and he groans into my neck, licking across my skin.
âItâs time,â Mino calls.
âHear that, baby?â He angles his hips right where he knows I want them. âItâs time.â
The moment he says it, my body comes undone, clenching and pulsing around him, and heâs right behind me, hips jerking, but he swiftly pulls out, wraps his hand around his swollen shaft, and gives two long tugs. A second wave of his cum comes spurting out in long, thick ropes, coating my bare pussy and thigh.
He rubs it into my skin, staring down at me with utter fixation.
The knock sounds again, and he screams, âWeâre coming!â
âYeah, fuckers!â Mino shouts back. âI can tell!â
I freeze, Enzo looks down at me, and we both laugh until heâs falling over me.
He rolls off the bed and yanks me to my feet. âCome on, baby. Letâs go make you my wife. Again.â
He smacks my ass and sends me on my way.
Fingers crossed today goes as planned.
I scoff to myself.
I think weâre both smart enough to know thatâs never going to happenâ¦
âWell, this isâ¦not what I expected, yet somehow exactly what I might imagine.â
I grin at Grandma, watching as she moves over to the side table, picking up our empty glassesâalways working, that woman. Facing forward once more, I find myself in the mirror. Jazzy, Jenna, and Jayden killed it today.
My sister looks as perfect as ever, her gown hugging her every curve with its floor-length mermaid design. Sheâs the only person who will stand with me when I finally reach the altar, but even so, Bronx, Delta, and even Katana are wearing gowns the same color. I could have borrowed her best friends as my bridesmaids, but none of them have gotten married yet and I didnât want to ruin their little trio.
My eyes seek out Katana, sitting in one of the plush purple chairs of the tailor room, staring off at nothing as she chews on her lower lipâa nervous habit of hers.
Maybe one day theyâll be a foursome.
A hint of bitterness touches my tongue at the thought, but I swallow beyond it.
She was never meant to be my friend. She belongs in their mansion, in the wing just waiting for her, but even so, somewhere along the way she went from being the girl I hated most in this world, to the girl I looked forward to talking to each day.
She is my friend.
A small smile pulls at my lips, and I step off the platform, moving toward her.
Her head pops up, sensing my approach, and she tries to smile.
âDonât tell me youâre going to be the one to object, because I hate to break it to youâ¦Enzo already warned the guy with the little black book to skip that part or, you know.â I strike my pointer finger across my neck teasingly and we both chuckle.
âNo, Iâm good. Justââ She cuts off, looking around to make sure no one is listening. âThose people who witnessed my birth as you said, will be there and they knew my parents. What if they recognize me?â
âThey wonât.â
She nods, not fully believing me, but then pushes to her feet with a smile. âYouâre right. I know you are. Iâm just going to snag some wine or something from Grandma and calm myself down. Or maybe Iâll follow the girls into the hall where they put the minibar.â
I nod, turning back to my glam squad, letting them put the final touches on me.
Jenna steps up behind me, fixing the veil, if you can even call it that, onto my head, pinning the thick lace just an inch back as instructed, my blonde hair showing from just along the edges of my face and pulled down over my shoulderâjust the way he likes it. Jayden is the last piece, moving in with the lipstick, but just before the brush touches my lips, I pull back.
âThis is smudge proof, right?â
She lifts her brows, the crybaby tattoo going with it. âDuh.â
âHow long before it starts to wear off?â
Three sets of eyes narrow on me, but itâs the tip of Grandmaâs head that is most concerning. I donât look her way.
âYouâve got at least eight hours,â she begins, then thinks better of her answer, and adds, âthree if you suck his dick on the ride from the ceremony to the reception.â
âDear God,â Grandma mutters as she turns away, shaking her head.
I smirk to myself, parting my lips in invitation, and she gets to work, smoothing the creamy lipstick into place before stepping back and holding the tube out.
âDo you want to take it with you?â Jayden offers.
âNo.â I face the mirror once more, pulling in a long breath. âThat gives me plenty of time.â
Her eyes narrow. âDo I need to check to make sure our weapons are still where we put them?â
I laugh loudly, smiling across the three. âYeah, sorry about that, but to answer your question, no. I have my own weapons now.â
âWhy does it sound like you mean on you, as in tucked into your wedding dress?â
I simply smile, turning when thereâs a knock at the door just as Mino pokes his head in.
He grins wide, shaking his head. âYou ready, tiny dancer?â
âItâs now or never.â
âHa!â He slaps the door. âThatâs fucking funny.â
âWhat?â I play coy, lifting a shoulder. âItâs not like he tattooed his name on me or anything. Oh wait.â I tip my head Minoâs way. âYou did that.â
He gives a little side smirk, holding his arm out for me to take. âIâm just happy he didnât want it on your ass. Thereâs a solid chance heâd have killed me if I started rubbing on that booty.â
I fight a laugh, swallowing it when I step out of the room, to find my sister and the other girls standing around.
Mino doesnât let go, instead leading me forward and pausing, forcing them to come to me in a move of pure purpose. Iâll have to thank him for it later.
Rocklin rolls her shoulders, shuffling in her heels and reaching out for my hand. âYou look insane!â
Delta nods, fingers trailing along her necklace. âBold choice, Boston. I like.â
âYou look like a bad bitch, girl.â Bronx nods, eating a bag of Flaminâ Hot Cheetos, shoes already kicked off her feet.
âAnd you look like my every fantasy come to life.â I look left just as Hayze comes around the corner, fresh suit tailored to perfection, yet somehow, he looks even more like the degenerate he is.
Bronx gets stuck staring at him, but only a second before tossing her chips his way, making him jump back in horror. âI told you to wait outside.â
âAnd your daddy told me to keep you in my sight at all times.â He smirks.
âThereâre a hundred fucking guards on these grounds and I can probably outthrow all of them. Fuck off.â She faces me then. âTell him, Boston. Your house, your rules.â
I go to open my mouth, but Hayze tsks his tongue, holding up his right hand and showing off the massive golden ring sitting on his finger. My jaw drops and I snap my gaze to Bronx once more. âHeâs youâre official guardian now?!â
She groans, growls, then spins, glaring at him. âHeâs a glorified babysitter who doesnât belong.â
âAnd youâre a fucking brat that needs a solid ass whoopinâ,â he seethes.
âHey, Hayze.â She flutters her lashes, biting her lip as she pushes up against him. âFuck. Off.â She presses her red-covered fingertips into his suit jacket and drags them all the way down the front before he can protest, effectively using him as a napkin.
Hayzeâs jaw tics, and she hops past him, then starts running for the back door and out of the house, forcing him to chase her.
âWell. Things at Greyson Manor are going to get a lot more interesting soon,â Rocklin says, watching them go.
âAnd here I thought Delta was going to be the one everyone continued to gossip about, what with her two boyfriends and all,â Mino teases.
Deltaâs smile is queen-worthy, and the further it spreads, the more regal she looks. âYou didnât hear?â she asks, the question sounding completely genuine.
âHear what?â
She runs her fingers along her lower lip, flicking her eyes to mine.
âShe doesnât have two boyfriends anymore.â Rocklin turns toward us and grins. âShe has three.â
My brows jump, and Mino looks like heâs trying really hard to concentrate.
âHmm.â He regards her, unable to hide his curiosityâ¦and interest. ââKay. And how do youâ ââ
âNo.â I shake my head. âNope. Wedding. Now.â
He stares at Delta a little longer, then shakes his head. âMarried. Enzo. Right.â He clears his throat, and I canât help but laugh at him. âLetâs get all this shit going or weâll never get to the fun part.â
Arm still wrapped in his, he leads me forward, out the front doors and to the massive amount of security vehicles waiting outside.
âMy car is toward the front. Bastian is picking up Dad; theyâll meet us there,â Rocklin tells me, looking over as she steps up, green eyes meeting green eyes. âWant me to take Katana?â
I nod. Holding her gaze. Green on green. We stare at each other for several moments, tension slowly creeping into her gaze, but when the corner of my mouth twitches the slightest bit, her smirk spreads.
âKill it, Beeks. Weâll be waiting.â
I watch them walk off, then turn toward Mino. âIâd like to ride alone.â
Mino looks off, nodding slightly. âOkay. Iâll be in the car behind you then.â
I jerk from his hold, spinning to face him. âWhat?â
âWhat?â He frowns.
I gauge him a moment, suspicion swimming in my gut. âDonât what me. You just agreed to let me ride alone. Without arguing. There is no way Enzoââ I cut off, clinking my teeth together as I glare at him.
âWait.â He shuffles, his body fully facing mine now, and bends to bring himself eye level. âWhy are you so shocked?â
Shit.
He grabs my arm, pulling me closer. âWhat did you do?â
âWhat did he do?â
âBostonââ
âGuards,â I snap.
Minoâs brows jump, eyes narrowing when two guards slide up behind him. âWhat the fuck,â he mutters, looking back at me. âYou better not have fucked up ourâ ââ
âCatch you later, Mino baby.â I blow him a kiss, sliding into the seat.
âWait. Wait!â
I shut the door, looking up and locking eyes with a familiar pair in the rearview mirror.
âHello, Nicholas.â
âBeautiful. Love the dress.â He puts the car in drive, tugging the hat on his head a little lower. âYou ready for the day that changes your life?â
I smile, staring out the window as we pull away from the property. âYou have no idea. I just wish he told me where the venue was. I hate surprises.â
Nicholas chuckles, then laughs a little louder, relaxing back into his seat. âYeah. Me too. Me fucking tooâ¦â
