Chapter 304
The Unknown God of War
A tall, handsome man approached with an air of arrogance. He was dressed from head to toe in
designer labels, and about four or five bodyguards in black suits trailed behind him.
From his extravagant clothes, he looked like a successful man.
"Xia Hui!"
"Xia Hui is here!"
"Quick, give Xia Hui a seat."
The group of students seated in the booth all stood up in unison. They gave him a very warm reception.
Xia Hui was the most successful and promising member of the group, and they were counting on him
to help them.
Yun Muyu stood up, albeit reluctantly, and said hello.
"Weâre all classmates. You donât have to be so formal. Please take a seat, everyone."
Xia Hui was widely celebrated and was very much in the limelight. Everyone hoped to make use of him
and flattered him to the utmost, but he only nodded dryly to them. When he looked at Yun Muyu, his
eyes immediately lit up, revealing his insatiable desire for her.
"I haven't seen you in years, Muyu. Youâve become more beautiful, and you are still so radiant."
Although five years was not a long time, it was sufficient to transform an inexperienced high school
graduate into a mature adult. However, as with everything else in life, there were no guarantees, and all
good things eventually succumb to the often harsh realities of life. Even the most innocent could turn
cruel and ugly.
Yun Muyu, on the other hand, seemed immune to the cruel reality. She was still pure and charming like
a sprite with a zealous attitude against evil. Xia Hui could not help but be moved.
Lu Mengting saw Yun Muyuâs indifference and urged her from the side, "Xiao Yu, Xia Hui is talking to
you. Where are your manners?"
She kept winking at Yun Muyu, prodding her to seize the opportunity.
"Hello, Xia Hui. Long time no see."
Yun Muyu simply smiled politely and sat down beside Chu Feng.
Lu Mengting appeared embarrassed, but Xia Hui was not in a rush. He was an expert in the art of
seduction, and he knew the best way to win a woman's heart was to take things slowly and
methodically.
"This booth is getting a little crowded. Hey, miss, move us to the private room on the third floor, and
bring everyone here a bottle of Remy Martin."
Xia Hui snapped his fingers at the waitress and shoved a stack of banknotes worth at least two
thousand yuan into her hands.
The waitress smiled as she ran away to make arrangements, while Lu Mengting and the rest of them
became even more excited.
This bar was considered to be in the mid-to-high price range. It typically cost between five to six
thousand yuan to rent a booth on the first floor. The larger private rooms were located on the third floor,
and they were usually reserved for wealthy businessmen. Each room required a minimum spending of
fifty thousand yuan. How could they possibly have that much money to spend?
They dronk from their own bottles of Remy Mortin, which cost two thousond yuon eoch, in the
luxuriously decoroted room. They were olso occomponied by hostesses. It felt os though they hod
ochieved o new pinnocle in life.
"Xio Hui is o very generous person. Itâs oll thonks to him thot we get to experience something new."
"Yeoh, we've never hod such fine drinks or been in such o luxurious privote room before. Even the
fruits ore imported! This must cost ot leost six digits."
"Xio Hui, you hove prospered o lot in recent yeors. Don't forget to help us out."
Xio Hui wos overjoyed by everyone's flottery ond compliments, ond his heort wos overflowing. "It's
nothing. I storted on Internet compony, ond I hoppened to be lucky to moke some profits. It's only 20
million o yeor. Thotâs nothing," he soid flotly.
Chu Feng smirked contemptuously, thinking Xio Hui wos being extremely childish ond ridiculous.
Unfortunotely, those impressionoble young people bought his nonsense, ond they oll looked envious.
"Oh my god, 20 million o yeor is considered nothing?"
"How ore we going to compore to thot? I'm not going to soy onything else. I odmire ond respect you,
bro."
"We'll hove to rely on you to leod us in our future endeovors, Xio Hui."
They drank from their own bottles of Remy Martin, which cost two thousand yuan each, in the
luxuriously decorated room. They were also accompanied by hostesses. It felt as though they had
achieved a new pinnacle in life.
"Xia Hui is a very generous person. Itâs all thanks to him that we get to experience something new."
"Yeah, we've never had such fine drinks or been in such a luxurious private room before. Even the
fruits are imported! This must cost at least six digits."
"Xia Hui, you have prospered a lot in recent years. Don't forget to help us out."
Xia Hui was overjoyed by everyone's flattery and compliments, and his heart was overflowing. "It's
nothing. I started an Internet company, and I happened to be lucky to make some profits. It's only 20
million a year. Thatâs nothing," he said flatly.
Chu Feng smirked contemptuously, thinking Xia Hui was being extremely childish and ridiculous.
Unfortunately, those impressionable young people bought his nonsense, and they all looked envious.
"Oh my god, 20 million a year is considered nothing?"
"How are we going to compare to that? I'm not going to say anything else. I admire and respect you,
bro."
"We'll have to rely on you to lead us in our future endeavors, Xia Hui."
