Chapter 463
The Unknown God of War
"Thank you, Daddy. I love these presents," Duo Duo said while kissing Chu Feng's cheek happily.
Yun Muqing discreetly wiped away the tears from her eyes and said gently to Duo Duo, "Why don't you
make a wish? The entire city is celebrating your birthday with you. Your wish will definitely come true."
"I need to take this more seriously then. I'll change into my princess dress." The little girl ran into the
castle and picked a white princess dress.
Yun Muqing smiled when she saw her daughter put her hands together and close her eyes. "She looks
so sincere."
Chu Feng smiled. "What do you think she'd wish for?"
Yun Muqing shook her head and smiled. "Nothing too sophisticated, I guess. She's only a child after all.
More new clothes and toys, I guess?"
She thought that a child would not have much to worry about.
"I wishâ¦" Duo Duo said seriously, "I wish Daddy Chu Feng will become my real daddy."
Yun Muqing trembled as though she had been struck by lightning. Her face turned pale, and her
breathing quickened.
Chu Feng was also shocked. He took a deep breath, crouched in front of Duo Duo, and smiled. "What
are you saying, silly little girl? Did your friends at the kindergarten tease you again? I'll have a word
with your teacher tomorrowâ¦"
"You're imagining things, Duo Duo. Daddy and Mommy will always love youâ¦" Yun Muqing spoke
nervously.
"You don't have to lie to me anymore. I already know that you're not my real Daddy," Duo Duo said
while staring at Chu Feng with her clear, innocent eyes. "I overheard your conversation when you were
downstairs. Mommy, you hired Daddy Chu Feng to be my Daddy because you know I always wanted
one. You've been lying to meâ¦"
Chu Feng felt a lump in his throat. He struggled to breathe.
Meanwhile, tears fell from Yun Muqing's eyes. She could not control her emotions.
She knows everything.
"But I don't blame you. I know you lied to me because you didn't want me to be sad or bulliedâ¦."
Duo Duo reached out and wiped away Yun Muqing's tears with her meaty hands. She smiled happily,
"The past few months have been the happiest days of my life. I know that Daddy really loves me and
you⦠All I hope is that you two will stay together so that I really can have a family."
Yun Muqing hugged her daughter tightly. Her emotions were laid bare. "I'm so sorry, Duo Duo. I'm so
sorry."
Duo Duo wiped away Yun Muqing's tears and ran up to Chu Feng. "Thank you, Mr. Chu. No matter
who you are or if you end up marrying my Mommy, I love you, and you'll always be my favorite Daddy."
She stood on tiptoe and pecked Chu Feng's cheek.
That gesture felt like "Thank you," but also felt like "Goodbye."
Chu Feng could not hold back the tears in his eyes anymore. He hugged the little girl tightly in his arms.
The two adults were crying like little children.
The fireworks display lasted for two hours. Two hours later, Chu Feng brought Yun Muqing and Duo
Duo down the hill, and they stayed the night in a hotel.
To the others, they were still a happy family of three. As for what happened at the hilltop, they seemed
to have a tacit agreement to forget that incidentâ¦
