13. Failed Plans
Fantasy Forest (Yandere boys x reader)
Theo pov.
After Seally took Ray into the back room I decided it would be in my best interest to leave quickly so I quickly left. It felt kind of weird leaving Y/n passed out on the floor like that but I knew she was safe in Seally's house. Besides, I knew Ray was probably still pissed and was definitely going to get back at me for this so I decided I wouldn't make it so easy for him by sticking around.
I walked out of the small valley and back into the cover of the trees all the while I swore silently under my breathe. I can't believe my plan didn't work. It would've worked if it wasn't for Ray seeing me buy the potion from Seally. It was such a perfect potion too. It made it so wherever Y/n looked she would only see the monster form of the people around her. To her Ray and fish boy probably looked hideous but, since elves don't have a monster form, I appeared as normal. It was the absolute perfect away to keep her away from those other boys and yet it failed so quickly. Once I had walked a good ways I sat down on a fallen log and tried to calm my seething anger through deep breathes as my brain trailed off with new plans of how to keep the dog and the fish away from my Y/n.
"I see you failed." A voice called out to me and I turn to see two people I didn't want to see, Sloane and Alice, the two mermaids who pushed me to buy the potion in the first place. Sloane has tied her long red hair up into a loose braid and is wearing some sort of old blue cloak wrapped around her naked body.
"What's with the clothes?" I ask, trying desperately to change the subject from the one thing I don't want to talk about.
"I got these from Seally." Sloane says with a smile. "He said he had an extra so he gave it to me."
"What did you give him in exchange?" I ask.
"Not important!" Sloane says with a pout as the two girls move closer, Sloane moving a bit slower than her pink friend since the unfamiliar feeling of clothes are weighing her down.
"You failed." Alice chimes in with a frown. "You were supposed to keep Y/n away from our men! You failed us!"
"I haven't failed!" I bark back. "I just need more time. My first plan didn't work." I pause for a second. "How did you know that I've failed already?"
"We've been following you." Alice answered simply as she felt no shame to it.
"We had to make sure you did it right." Sloane adds on. "And you didn't. You failed us."
"I guess we are just going to have to deal with little Y/n by ourselves." Alice says with a cheeky smile and I glare daggers at her.
"What are you going to do?" I ask as my whole body goes tense with anticipation.
"Don't know yet." Sloane says.
"Seally has got a whole bunch of potions stacked up in his house. Maybe he's got something that will turn her into a frog!" Alice says.
"Or a bug!" Sloane yells eagerly.
"You cant do that!" I bark at them, concealing the fear in my voice with anger.
"We can and we will." Alice says with a grin.
"And you cant stop us." Soane giggles as the two girls leave while gleefully laughing among themselves.
Your pov.
Through closed eyes and a hazy head I can barely make out the sound of voices in the background as I gradually come to. I flutter one eye open and stare up at the empty ceiling above me before I open the other eye and gradually roll onto my side. I am laying on a couch in a cool and shaded room with tables and shelves lined with books and bottles all over the place. My memory is a mess and I cant quite recall where I am or how I got there but then it hits me like lightning: The monsters, the wolf, Seally, wheres theo? I groan as I try to sit up and look around the room but a hand pushes me back down.
"Rest." A voice orders and I look up to see none other than Ray sitting next to me on the couch, his legs crossed one over the other as his tail is laying limp in his lap and a small leatherbound book is in his hands. I take comfort in Rays overall calm demeanor but I still feel confused and restless and I force myself to sit up.
"What happened?" I groan and Ray puts his book down to look at me. At first he looks me over cautiously with a worried expression but then his face softens back into his usual cheeky smile.
"You fell asleep." He says simply.
"What about Theo?"
"Theo left."
"What about the Wolf?"
"What wolf?"
"The monster wolf."
Ray twitches slightly but remains smiling and calm.
"I'm afraid I dont know what you are talking about, princess. I havent seen any monster wolves around here." He says. "Are you sure you weren't dreaming?"
"How did I get here?" I ask as I feel my mind start to clear and the hazy feeling pass.
"You walked." Ray says and I look at him with a raised eyebrow. "I'm surprised myself. I didnt think you would ever be able to find this place on your own. We are in Seallys house right now."
"Yes and I would appreciate it if you leave soon." A voice says and I turn to see Seally sitting behind us at the opposite corner of the room. He is sitting in front of a table on which is a vast assortment of weird herbs and flowers that he is carefully plucking at and sprinkling leaves and petals into a medium sized brass pot of sorts on the far end of the table. As he sprinkles in a new substance the pot sparks and bubbles as a little plume of colorful smoke pops up before dispersing into the air.
"Its very hard to work with people here." Seally says without making eye contact with either of us.
"I guess you are right." Ray says as he puts the book down and stands up. "We should be going. Allow me to walk you home."
"Thanks." I say as I get up and follow him out of the small house. As we exit the door swings shut behind us as if by magic. Looking out I am very much alarmed to see how low the sun is hanging over the trees and how quickly the skylne is darkening.
"What time is it?" I ask frnticly and Ray shrugs.
"It should be night soon but I dont have an exact time." He says.
"This is bad." I mutter as I look at the dark sky with a few stars slowly apearing in the air.
"Whats worng?" Ray asks.
"My borther is going to be pissed."
