Chapter 1

Ellie was walking home when a black car pulled up in front of her. It was Marcus, he didn't seem too happy. He told her about what happened with the police and how Kai thought that Ellie was the one who tipped off the police for money. He took her back to Kai's Mansion and Ellie and Kai had a big argument.

Here's some of the argument.

"Do you seriously fucking think that I'd betray yous all like that for money?" I shout at him

"I've seen people kill family before and betray them for money before" he answers

"I can't believe this, I'm going home, and just for the record I never told the police" I say, just as I was about to walk away he grabs my arm

"If you thought I told the police, let's be honest you'd have my death all planed out or at least have an idea of how your going to get your revenge" I say

"Shut up" he groans angrily

"Why? Because I'm right?!" I ask raising my eyebrow. "Come on Kai think about it, do you honestly think I'd put all of you in danger like that?" I ask "these people have turned out to be my family I'm not going to betray them for money and... revenge? I mean revenge for what? Cause you said that that's you done with me and walked away?" I laughed, it was that I found the situation funny it's because I'm pissed off, it's a pissed off laugh. "I WAS THE ONE THAT BROKE UP WITH YOU I DON'T NEED REVENGE SO GET THIS STUPID IDEA THAT I LEAKED YOUR LOCATION OUT OF YOUR HEAD!" I scream at him, pushing my backwards. I'm angry, hurt, pissed off, shocked and I don't know how to control myself. I let tears of anger fall from my eyes, flowing out unstoppable like a waterfall. All these emotions are too much for me to handle.

"Ellie calm down" Kai says trying to come closer to me

"Calm down?! CALM DOWN?! DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME TO CALL DOWN, you got this stupid idea that I've told the police your location and now my friends probably hate me so don't fucking kidnap me and then tell ME TO CALM DOWN! I have every right to be mad right now" I shout at him. He looks at me shocked, and then he starts to get angry

"Well what did you expect me to think huh? YOU WERE THE ONE WHO THREATENED TO TELL THE POLICE MY LOCATION SO WHEN THEY CAME SHOOTING AT MY HOUSE IM OBVIOUSLY GOING TO THINK YOU TOLD THEM" he shouts

"I'm sorry, Ellie I believe you now please forgive me" he says. Woah his mood swings are worse than a girls!

"You really believe me?" I ask

"Yes I'm sorry I kidnapped you, and I'm sorry I accused you of something like that" he says. I was shocked when he said he believed me, but I'm also relieved and happy. I'm glad he doesn't think it's me cause I don't want them hurting me.

After their Argument, Ellie wanted to go see Rachel and Oscar. Kai nods and then they realise that during their argument it was raining so he allows Ellie into the mansion, is had been two years since she'd been in there.

Ellie's P.O.V

It feels weird, I had lived in this mansion for a few years and become close to everyone like they were my family. But then me and Kai broke up and I moved out. That's why it feels weird, I hadn't been allowed back into this mansion It's been 2 years since I have been in here yet it feels like it was just yesterday. Despite what the outside of the mansion looked like the inside looked exactly the same and clean? Apart from the people fixing the windows  that's all there seemed to be wrong with the place.

"You can go get a shower, your clothes are still in the same place" Kai says, I turn around

"You didn't get rid of all my stuff?" I ask

"Why would I? I had it in mind you were coming back" he shrugs  "guess I wasn't completely wrong" he says

I ignore his comment and tell him I'm going to go use the shower. I off course don't use his, I use one of the spare ones. Once I'm done I head to my old wardrobe and was shocked to see it was exactly how a left it.

With clothes laying on the floor and a half packed suitcase.

I remember when he went mad at seeing my suitcase like that. How he locked me in our room well his room now. And then how I smashed his window and ran away. It feels like just yesterday.

I pick out a pair of my black leggings and pair it with a pink oversized hoodie. I quickly throw on my clothes and then go to Rachel's room. When I saw she wasn't there I went to the living room. She wasn't there but Lucas was. I was about to turn around and walk out, afraid that he would have it in his head that I told the police and got them into this mess. I didn't want him to be mad at me and I wasn't prepared for an awkward conversation either if he didn't think it was me.

Just as I was about to leave he speaks up "I'm not mad at you Ellie, I knew it wasn't you" he says I freeze and turn around.

"Really?" I asked

"Off course, I would never believe you'd do something like that, your not smart or stupid enough to do that" he smirks

He just insulted me and praised me in the same sentence. It was weird, he called me dumb but at the same time he called me smart? It literally didn't make any sense. I burst out laughing "did you even hear what you just said?" I ask

"Yep, and it made absolutely zero since" he laughs at himself  "What also doesn't make since is that fact that I haven't seen you in over a year and you still haven't give me a hug yet" he says frowning down at the ground. I roll my eyes and run up to him. I jump into his arms and give him the biggest hug ever

"I've missed you so much my big stupid best friend" I laugh

"I've missed you too" he smiles and then puts me down

"Now where's my best friend and my little nephew?"

"I left them in Ollie's room" Lucas says

Off course! Gosh I really am stupid, how could I not think to check there?

"Well I'll see you later, I'm going to go see them before I leave" I tell him

"Leave?" He asks

"I have to go home" I tell him. He looks sad and disappointed

"I thought you were going to move back in" he says

"I don't think that's a good idea" I tell him

"Why not?" He asks

"Because of me and Kai, it will be so awkward between us besides I'm pretty sure he wouldn't let me stay anyway" I say

"I'm 100% sure he'd have no problem with that"

I look at him, and give him a sad smile "This isn't my home anymore" I tell him

He sighs "it's been really weird without you here" he tells me

"It's been weird not seeing yous all everyday to" I agree with him

"So don't leave"

"I have to"

"No, you want to"

"Lucas" I sigh sadly

"Forget it, I'll see you around" he says and walks past me

I watch him walk out towards the kitchen. I sigh, this isn't how I wanted it to go but I can't stay here! No way!

Kai probably wouldn't let me stay here anyway, he wouldn't let me in here for 2 years.

I shake my head and bring myself from my thoughts, and then walk out of the living room. I am going to go see Rachel, hopefully see Josh and then maybe Oscar before I go home.

I walk up the stairs and down the hallway to Oscars room, I here his cute little laughs and smile. I knock on the door and then walk in. Two heads snap my way both with wide smiles when they see me.

"Ellie!" Rachel shouts jumping up from her spot on the floor and rushing over to me. She engulfs me in s tight hug. "Oh my gosh! I've missed you so much! I heard what happened, you know the whole police thing, I knew straight away that you didn't do it! I tried to convince Kai but he was just so angry. Did he hurt you? I was so afraid, I begged Lucas not to let him go after you but he couldn't stop him" she says, whispering some words so that Ollie wouldn't hear.

"It's okay, I'm fine! I'm so glad you and Lucas both didn't believe it was me, I don't know what I'd do if you hated me. I felt so upset and betrayed when Marcus told me what was going on, even he had his doubts. I was so hurt. And then me and Kai were screaming and shouting at each other but in the end he realised it wasn't me and I came in here to get out of my wet clothes because it was raining when we were arguing. And I also wanted to come see you and my little nephew" I tell her, whispering a little as well so Ollie wouldn't hear and get scared. I bent down and Ollie give me his own big hug. He kissed my check making me smile.

After like a half an hour of playing dinosaurs with Ollie and talking to Rachel as if I haven't seen her in years when in reality it was only a week.

"Do you have to go?" Ollie asks wiping his tears eyes

"I do buddy, I'm sorry, but don't worry I'll see you again soon" I say smiling down sadly at him before bending down and giving him another hug and kiss. "I promise, maybe mummy will bring you around to my house and we can play together" I tell him. His face lights up

"Yes!" He says happily. I smile and kiss his head before hugging Rachel goodbye and getting into my brothers car.

"Your so good with children" Josh says

"I love kids" I say

"Yeah well when am I going to be an uncle then?" He asks

"I don't have a boyfriend to be able to have kids Josh" I tell him

"What happened with Max?" He asks

"I broke up with him" I say sadly

"Why I thought you liked him?" He asked

Josh was the only one who knew about Max, well until the day when Rachel and Kai came to my door. But I had only ever told Josh. I told him how much I really liked him and how he made me laugh, smile, happy and just how perfect he was. Me and Josh would sneakily text and meet up with each other every few weeks for a catch up. We would always go for coffee or lunch. I'm glad I have him back in my life now.

"I did, but it just wasn't working" I lie, I don't want to tell him the truth because I know how he'll react, he would go mad and Kai and I don't want anymore drama.

"Well boys are Dicks stay away from them" he says not pushing me to say anymore. I was grateful for that

I laugh at the fact he went from a asking me when I'm going to have children to telling me to stay away from boys.

We arrive at my house and I jump out of the car after saying goodbye, we decided to meet up next week for lunch. I waved him goodbye before walking into my house.

Today was such a weird day, I started off my morning by going to Starbucks, to then being kidnapped my my Ex's Mafia and being shouted at by him to then sitting playing with toy dinosaurs in Ollie's room.

I was exhausted and it was only 6 o'clock. I decided I wanted to just go take a nap.

Beeeep beeeep

I huff waking up from my stupid phone beeping, I put it on silent so I wouldn't hear it but that clearly didn't work. I groan and reach out for my phone, I check the time and realise that I had only been asleep for 10 minutes.

Great! I roll my eyes

I looked at who was ringing me and saw that I had 12 miss calls from Unknown number. who is this? Why are they phoning me? What could be so important that they kept phoning constantly and how did whoever it is even get my number?. I check my messages and see 4 new messages from the same unknown number

'Why aren't you answering your phone?'

'It's Kai btw'

'Answer your phone!'

'Is everything alright? I'm coming over! You better not be ignoring me!!'

I roll my eyes and phone him back. He's acting like my dad or something. He picks up on the 3rd ring.

"Where are you?" His voice sounds through the phone

"In my house, why are you constantly phoning me what's wrong?" I ask

"Why did you leave?" He asks

"You called me to ask why I left? Why do you think I left?"

"I don't know that's why I asked Ellie" he says, I roll my eyes at him

"Well I left because I wanted to go home, I'm still mad at you Kai, for so many things" I answer him honestly. I hear him sigh through the phone

"I'm sorry okay, I've made so many mistakes with our relationship, I wish we could just start over" he says

There was silence for a while, I didn't know what to say. I kind of zoned out until I heard his voice

"Ellie?"

"Yeah?"

"You didn't answer my question" he states

"Sorry, I wasn't listening, what was the question again?" I ask

"Can you give me another chance?" He asks

I sigh "I don't know, I mean how many chances have I already given you, I honestly just think we should stay away from each other"

"That's the problem Ellie, I can't stop thinking about you, I want to be with you and I'm not used to being told no" he says

"Well Kai your going to have to get use to it, I mean it's been 2 years already since we have broken up why not just leave the past in the past?"

"I can't, Please, one more chance, let me make it up to you. Ellie, I never beg. Never. But I'm begging you please, give me another chance."

I felt bad, but I knew I had to do what's right for me. But then I remembered all the good times we have had together and how I fell in love with him. Could I really just walk away? I mean he's literally begging me. Kai, a Mafia leader, begging me to give him another chance. That's not something you'd see everyday!

I let out a sigh and reply "I'll think about it" before saying goodbye and hanging up
