CHAPTER 11- We are leaving.

A/N: Double update for my lovely readers😘

Once the make-up artiste was done with doing my make up, I put on the pearl necklace that Cole had chosen for me.

The makeup was minimal. Not too much but it was still done nicely.

I was looking a little bit too overdressed for a pet.

Cole gave the make-up artiste her bills and she left the room.

He smiled at me.

He was wearing a black suit, black pants, a white shirt, a red tie and black shoes to match.

He looked gorgeous.

He opened a drawer and brought out something. A collar, a new collar.

It was a leather collar with diamond studs all over it.

It was pretty, I liked it.

It had my name on it.

"Do you like it?" He asked.

I nodded.

He put the collar loosely around my neck and attached the leash to the hook at the front of my collar.

I looked at myself in the mirror.

I looked pretty in the red dress. My hair was curled, the necklace was beautiful, the collar was also beautiful.

"Oh, one more thing". Cole said.

He brought out a rose hair pin and clipped it on my hair to put the stray strands in place.

I smiled at him.

"Just so you know, I may act different". He whispered and held my leash before opening the door.

How different?

The hall was filled with many people.

Cole tugged on my leash a little bit harshly. Maybe that meant I should walk faster.

I increased my walking pace.

He greeted some of his friends and then a voice that sounded like Cole's voice rang in my head.

'Go into that room, other pets are there'

I turned to look at Cole but he was already looking at me.

Wow! Telepathy!

So vampires do have abilities.

'Of course, dumbass, you knew that a long time ago'

He released my leash and left.

I was expecting the normal number of pets that I knew but the room was filled with hundreds of pets.

I should have known that when I saw the number of vampires present at the party.

The room was so stuffy that I could hardly breath.

I looked around and saw that I was actually the odd one out.

I was overdressed.

All my excitement about showing off my dress immediately died down. I started to feel uncomfortable.

Other female pets wore clothes that revealed most part of their body.

Some wore only oversized shirts and singlets, some wore lingeries while some where barefooted.

I looked around for the pets that I was more familiar with and finally spotted Chloe talking to Kyle.

She was wearing a sleeveless blue dress with plain black flats. She had her hair tied up in a ponytail but she looked pale.

Kyle wore a gray T-shirt, worn out jean pants and a pair of sandals.

"Hi guys". I said.

They turned to look at me.

Their eyes widened.

"Oh my gosh Britt, you look amazing!" Chloe gushed.

"Wow! Your Master must be taking really good care of you". Kyle said.

"Thanks guys. I missed you a lot". I said.

"I missed you too". Chloe said.

"Yeah, me too". Kyle said.

"We all hang out in the garden now. You don't come out of your room that much lately, what happened?" Chloe asked.

"Everything is fine. Cole mostly orders for my food now". I said before I realized my little slip up.

"Cole?" Chloe asked.

"Sorry, I meant Master Cole." I said quickly.

"You're lucky he isn't here, you would have gotten punished for not calling him 'Master". Kyle said quietly.

Punishment? He doesn't even want to be called Master.

I would have said that but instead I said,

"It's a good thing he isn't here then". I said, chuckling nervously.

"Sonia! Over here!" Chloe said, waving at Sonia.

Sonia made her way to where we were standing.

She was wearing an oversized shirt and flip-flops.

I felt bad for her especially when she looked at my dress. She looked sad.

"Hi". She said to us.

"Hi". We replied in unison.

"Brittany, where have you been?" She asked.

Her Master didn't seem to be treating her well.

"In my master's room". I replied casually.

"What?!? They all said.

"Um, Co- Master Cole moved me to his room". I said, looking down.

I didn't like the look in their eyes.

"So is this all for pretence?" Chloe asked.

"Huh?" I asked.

"The dress and everything". She said.

"No, not at all". I said

"Then I guess I'm missing out on a lot of things". Chloe said, dragging my hand and leading me to a long table filled with assorted food.

Others followed behind.

"So-" Chloe said, expecting me to tell her about everything that has happened in Cole's room but I said something else instead.

"Um, Chloe, Master Cole's really sorry for treating you like that, he really is". I said.

I know he was supposed to apologize but again, it may be a little bit humiliating for him considering his ego.

So I'm helping him to apologize to Chloe but he'll have to apologize to her Master.

"Prince Cole? Apology? Those are two words that can never be placed together in a sentence".

"So why will Prince Cole apologize to Chloe?" Kyle asked quietly.

"Because he's sorry". I replied.

"He's never sorry". Sonia said quietly.

"But now he's truly sorry". I said.

"I won't believe that". Chloe said.

"But do you at least forgive him?" I asked.

"I don't know". She said.

"But he's sorry". I said, making sure my voice was quiet.

We were all speaking in hushed tones.

"I don't know if he really felt sorry, it's hard to believe". She said.

"Just think about it". I said.

"He's been nice since I moved to his room. I wouldn't have believed that he could hurt you like that if I hadn't witnessed him losing his temper". I continued.

"Wow! Describe the word 'nice". Kyle said.

"Guys, I'm starving". Sonia finally said, changing the subject.

Thanks so much, Sonia.

"We've got lots of time to talk about him but we aren't going to be served this type of food everyday and other pets are also really hungry". She continued.

With that being said, we took plates and served ourselves enough food and took small chairs from the stack of chairs in the room.

I checked my chair before sitting on it, I couldn't let what happened the last time to happen this time.

Half way through the meal, Cole stormed in, looking really angry.

His almost black eyes proofed that fact.

"Pet!". He yelled as everywhere became eerily silent.

I stood up and walked over to him.

Many pets looked at me with sympathy.

That was like the first time he called me 'pet' considering the fact that he never spoke to me in public and he addressed me as Brittany when we were alone.

"We're leaving". He said, attaching the leash to my collar and then we left.
