Chapter 251
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Sighing, Belinda had no choice but to reply, âIt was Lucas. He just happened to give me a lift to work today.â
A long, tense silence followed.
âBelinda,â Sarai finally said, âI actually think that you and Mr. Clark have a rather harmonious relationship.
Last time, why did youââ
âItâs getting late,â Kenia suddenly cut her off. âYou should go home and rest, Belinda.â
Belinda nodded and stood up. âOkay, Iâm leaving now.â
âTake care on your way home,â Kenia said.
âGot it! Iâll see you guys another day,â Belinda replied.
Once Belinda had left, Kenia turned to Sarai and said in a stern tone, âIn the future, try not to bring up Lucas in Belindaâs presence.â
Sarai pressed her lips together and nodded without saying anything, but a strange look flashed in her eyes.
Lucas was already at the Clark family estate by the time Belinda arrived.
She didnât greet him at all.
She went about her routine as if he werenât there, taking a shower and then sitting on the sofa to read a book.
Not once did she glance in Lucasâ direction.
Lucas, on the other hand, would periodically glance at Belinda.
When he finally realized that she was ignoring him, his brows knitted.
Her attitude toward him made him feel upset somehow.
Since she hadnât slept well the previous night, Belinda went to bed early today.
When Lucas woke up and made to leave the room the next morning, he noticed that Belinda was still asleep.
That was odd.
He had heard her alarm go off several times already.
Lucas walked over to Belindaâs side of the bed and noticed that her face was flushed.
Frowning, he reached out to press his palm against her forehead and check her temperature.
She was burning hot!
Belinda was running a fever.
Lucasâ expression shifted slightly. âBelinda,â he called out in an urgent tone as he shook her shoulder gently. âBelinda? Wake upâ¦â
It took a while and some effort, but Belinda was finally able to open her bleary eyes.
âWhat is it?â she asked, squinting at her surroundings in mild confusion.
âYouâre running a fever,â Lucas replied gently.
