Chapter 324
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Even so, giving up now left a bitter taste in Debraâs mouth. Taking a deep breath, she straightened up and resolved to try one last time to get close to Belinda.
âIâll give it another shot,â she said.
But Belinda wasnât having it.
âBelinda, listen to me! Just calm downââ
Belinda threw Debra to the floor again.
âBelinda! Itâs me, Debra. You are too drunk now. Let meââ
Debra failed again.
Two failed attempts later, Debra finally admitted defeat. With a trembling hand, she pulled out her phone and called Darren.
Debra was barely holding herself together. Her entire body ached, and she did not dare approach Belinda again.
Belinda, on the other hand, seemed to have boundless energy, singing karaoke at the top of her lungs and occasionally breaking into dance.
As soon as Darren arrived and entered the room, Debra rushed to him, her face a mix of relief and exhaustion.
âDarren! Thank God youâre here!â she exclaimed.
Darrenâs eyes landed on Belinda, who was barefoot on the sofa, belting out lyrics like she was at a concert. His expression shifted, his lips twitching as he suppressed a sigh.
âWhat happened?â he asked in a low voice.
Debra launched into her explanation, gesturing emphatically. âBelinda got drunk. Percy and I tried to take her home, but she was completely out of control! Every time we got near her, she threw us over her shoulder! We didnât know what else to do, so we called you.â
Darren raised an eyebrow and waved them off. âIâll take care of it. You two can head home now.â
Debra and Percy didnât need to be told twice. They exited the room quickly, leaving Darren alone with the chaos.
Darren approached Belinda cautiously. âBelinda, itâs me, Darren. Iâm here to take you home.â
Belinda turned to him, her eyes narrowing. âWho do you think you are? Pretending to be Darren? Watch this!â
Before Darren could respond, Belinda launched into a flying kick. Instinctively, Darren raised his arm to block the blow.
Belindaâs foot slammed into Darrenâs forearm with surprising force, sending him stumbling back a few steps.
Darren was shocked, staring at Belinda in disbelief.
Over the years Darren had known Belinda, he had seen her drunk a few times. While she often acted out in her drunken stupors, she had never been violent before.
But nowâ¦
The kick Belinda had just landed on him was no jokeâit was full force. Even now, his arm still felt numb.
