Chapter 336
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Sarai was briefly caught off guard but quickly responded, âOf course! Youâre my sisterâI care about your matters. And I know you like Mr. Clark, so naturally, I care about your relationship with him.â
âIs that so?â Belinda asked, her smile tinged with subtle sarcasm.
âWhatâs wrong?â Sarai asked, blinking innocently.
Belinda lazily lifted her eyes to meet Saraiâs, and then, with a wry smirk, asked, âSo everything you said to Lucas was out of concern for me?â
Sarai froze, a flicker of unease flashing across her eyes.
âWhat did Sarai say to Lucas?â Kenia asked at that moment.
Smiling, Belinda shared everything Lucas had told her.
The room then fell into a heavy silence.
Keniaâs expression turned dark after hearing Belindaâs words.
Sarai jumped to her feet, desperate to explain herself. âIâm so sorry, Belinda. I really made a mistake. I was just too careless before.â
In frustration, Sarai tapped her head with force.
She then continued, âI was only trying to help clear things up for you, but I rushed in too fast, tripped, and ended up stumbling towards Mr. Clark. But I swear I didnât fall into his arms. I didnât even brush against his clothes.
Belinda, you have to believe me; I didnât mean to do that. I just wanted to help you, and I never expected things to turn out like that. Please, you have to trust me.â
Belinda remained silent, her expression unreadable.
Kenia stayed quiet as well.
Sarai appeared flustered, biting her lip, her voice laced with sincerity. âBelinda, I know what youâre thinking, but please, itâs not what it seems! Youâve always been so kind to me, and Kenia has shown me nothing but warmth. How could I possibly do something like that? Please, you have to believe me. I⦠Iâ¦â
Overcome with her emotions, she suddenly slapped herself. âItâs all my fault for being so careless with my words, for ruining everything!â She slapped herself once more, looking regretful.
Belinda and Kenia both frowned at her actions. This was a strategy Holley frequently employed. Now, it seemed that Sarai had also learned to do this.
âEnough!â Kenia exclaimed sharply.
Sarai froze, biting her lip as she gave Kenia a pleading look. âKenia, surely you believe me, right?â
Kenia remained quiet for a moment, exhaling softly before turning to Belinda. âBelinda, I donât think Sarai had any ill intentions,â she said. Sarai had been raised under Keniaâs care, and as she herself had said, the family had treated her with kindness. It seemed unimaginable to Kenia that Sarai could have done something like that on purpose.
It wasnât so much about believing Sarai but about trusting her own judgmentâKenia was confident she hadnât raised a child capable of such behavior.
With Keniaâs words in mind, Belinda refrained from pressing the issue further, though a seed of doubt remained in her heart.
âLetâs just eat,â Belinda eventually said, breaking the silence.
