“Wait for me,” Johnson called out as he hurried to catch up with her.

It wasn’t until their figures vanished into the house that Lucas stepped out from the shadows.

His face was twisted with anger and frustration.

He was at a loss for words, unable to express the turmoil inside him.

He stared blankly at the spot where Belinda and Johnson had been, a flicker of pain and panic crossing his dark eyes—emotions he didn’t even realize he was feeling.

All that raced through his mind was—Belinda had actually agreed to be with Johnson!
