Chapter 412
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

âIâll take her to the hospital.â
His voice was icy.
âI donât need either of you to take me to the hospital. I can go there on my own,â Belinda said firmly, rejecting both offers without a second thought.
Belinda gave Darwin a slight nod before turning to leave, her steps slow and unsteady as she limped away.
Lucasâ expression grew dark as he watched Belinda slowly walk away.
In just a few quick strides, Lucas reached Belinda, bent down, and effortlessly lifted her into his arms.
âLucas!â Belinda gasped, her hands instinctively gripping his neck as he lifted her.
Lucasâ face was taut with determination as he silently carried Belinda toward his car.
âPut me down!â Belinda demanded, her voice firm despite the situation. âLucas! Did you hear me? Put me down!â
She furrowed her brows and struggled in an attempt to break free.
Ignoring her protests, Lucas gently but firmly placed her inside his car.
Darwin didnât move.
He stood there, watching the scene with sharp focus.
Johnson and Ryan lingered just a step behind.
They had also seen what had happened earlier.
A subtle smile tugged at the corners of Darwinâs lips.
Even after the divorce, it appeared Lucas hadnât fully let go of Belinda in his heart.
He clearly still harbored feelings for her.
How intriguing.
Darwin lightly touched the tip of his nose before turning on his heel and making his way toward his car.
Vincent turned to look at Johnson and Ryan, a hint of amusement in his voice. âTell me, does that seem like the reaction of someone whoâs indifferent to Belinda?â he asked.
Johnson offered a subtle smirk but chose to remain silent.
Ryan, on the other hand, furrowed his brow, his expression heavy with worry.
Could it be that Lucas had feelings for Belinda?
âLetâs leave now,â Johnson said flatly.
Then, he turned and walked away.
Vincent and Ryan also left soon.
Meanwhile, inside Lucasâ car, After some time on the road, Belinda parted her lips to speak, her tone firm and cold. âStop the car now.â
Lucas appeared not to have heard Belindaâs words, keeping the car at the same speed without any sign of slowing down.
