Chapter 672
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Their conversation continued for some time, and Belinda managed to alleviate Mollieâs suspicions.
After dining at the Thomas familyâs household, Belinda made her way back to the hospital.
However, instead of heading to the Cardiac Surgery Department, she went directly to Darwinâs ward. Darwin was in the middle of his physiotherapy session at the time.
âMs. Wright,â Darwin called out warmly as he noticed Belindaâs arrival.
âHow are you feeling today?â Belinda inquired.
With a slight smile, Darwin replied, âMuch improved, though Iâm still limited in my movements.â
Belinda nodded understandingly. âNaturally, given itâs a fracture. Achieving full recovery will certainly take a few months.â
A look of resignation crossed Darwinâs face when he heard that.
Belinda, now seated beside his bed, asked nonchalantly, âBy the way, Mr. Lambert, have you received an invitation to Minnaâs wedding?â
âMinnaâs wedding?â Darwin appeared surprised and shook his head. âNo, I havenât. Sheâs getting married? To whom?â
His voice carried a note of genuine delight.

This was indeed a cause for celebration for him.
âShe is marrying Moshe,â Belinda replied.
At the mention of the name, Darwin paused. Then, a look of understanding dawned on him. âAh, that makes senseâ¦â
âWhat do you mean?â Belinda looked at him, puzzled.
Darwin initially chuckled with a hint of sarcasm and said, âIt makes sense now. No wonder Minna came to me that day, inquiring if I could marry her. She probably hoped to avoid marrying Moshe by getting a yes from me.â
Belinda paused to digest Darwinâs revelation before nodding. âExactly, youâre onto something there. Unfortunately for her, sheâs bound to be let down.â
She pondered Minnaâs logic. After years of pursuing Darwin without success, why would she expect him to agree to marry her now, especially under these circumstances?
She should have known that Darwin would not agree to marry her.
Darwin cracked a sly smile. âI think Iâll request a wedding invite from Mr. Williamson. I plan to make an appearance at Minnaâs wedding and offer my âblessingsâ.â
Belindaâs lips twitched slightly when she heard that. It seemed more like Darwin was keen to be there to hurt Minnaâs heart.
Deep down, she felt a twinge of pity for Minna.
