Chapter 756
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

It seemed trouble was brewing on Minnaâs side.
âSend him up,â Lucas said, hanging up the phone.
Moments later, Wesson arrived at Lucasâ office, his face a picture of anxiety.
âMr. Clark, something terrible has happened! Minna has escaped!â Wesson exclaimed.
When Lucas heard this, his face darkened. âWhat happened?â
Wesson swallowed hard before saying, âMinna bribed the maid at our house to drug my son. And then⦠And thenâ¦â His face drained of color, and his words trailed off.
âAnd then what?â Lucas asked, his voice sharp.
Wesson clenched his jaw, his anger boiling over. âThen Minna mutilated my son! She even smashed a vase over his head!â
Lucasâ eyes narrowed in shock, his expression stiffening.
Minna had⦠mutilated Moshe?
âThat vile bitch!â Wesson couldnât hold back his fury, cursing Minna in front of Lucas.
âHave you sent people to find her?â Lucas asked, his tone serious.
Wesson nodded. âI have, but thereâs been no news so far.â
Lucas frowned and asked, âWhat about the maid?â
Wessonâs voice grew tense. âShe ran off! After calling an ambulance for Moshe last night, she vanished. Iâve sent people after her, too.â That maid was clearly an accomplice. If Wesson found her, she would face serious consequences.
âIâll send my team after Minna as well,â Lucas said.
âThank you, Mr. Clark. Iâll take my leave then.â Wesson nodded, his gratitude barely masking his frustration, before turning to leave. Lucas returned the nod, watching as the door clicked shut behind Wesson.
Once alone, Lucas leaned back in his chair, narrowing his eyes.
His expression turned cold and unreadable, a stark contrast to his earlier calm demeanor. This situation had spiraled far beyond what he had anticipated.
He had been certain Moshe would torment Minna; there had been no question about that.
He had learned Mosheâs penchant for cruelty was well-known, and he had ordered Moshe to torment Minna.
Minna had likely endured days of relentless pain and humiliation.
Lucas had considered that Minna might resist. After all, she wasnât one to accept defeat easily. But not in his wildest expectations had he imagined she would retaliate with such calculated ruthlessness. Lucas exhaled sharply, his lips pressing into a thin line. Clearly, he had underestimated Minna.
He took out his phone and called Gordon, instructing him to send people to find Minna, check on Mosheâs condition at the hospital, and dig into everything that had happened leading up to this.
Gordon obeyed and headed straight for the hospital without hesitation. After gathering all the necessary details, he returned to the company and made his way to Lucasâ office.
Stepping inside, Gordon met Lucasâ gaze and said gravely, âMosheâs condition doesnât look good. The reattachment surgery was successful, but the injury was too severe, and the delay in getting him to the hospital didnât help. Itâs highly unlikely that⦠heâll ever regain use of that part of his body.â
