The Heroine - 8

Erica's POV

As the weeks pass by, everything seems to be going smoothly. I've been having fun bullying the heroine and seeing everyone's angry faces. 'Im such great actress!' I then stop by the music room and saw a piano in the middle of the room. No one, perfect!

I then sat down and stretch my fingers and started playing a song. I need to practice or i'll become rusty. Anyway, after I played the piano, I quickly left to find Hades outside, his eyes closed, looking peaceful and calm as he slowly opened his eyes to see me staring at him.

"What are you doing here?" I ask him.

"Just listening to the music. You play beautifully." He complimented.

"Don't tell anyone that I was the one playing the piano." I coldly say. I then walk to the exit to see the next event that will happen with the heroine. Hades's steps drew nearer and in the corner of my eye I see him walking beside me.

"Don't follow me." I tell him.

"What if I don't listen." He smirked.

"Fine. You can follow me, but don't make noise, or anything unless I say so."

"Sure."

We then arrived at the garden as I quickly dragged Hades to a large tree and jumped to a high branch. Hades followed my example and we both sat down on diffrent branches but still near each other's, I then sat comfortably on my branch as I took my notebook and put a check mark on the box.

"What are we doing here?" Hades questioned as he tried to look at my notebook.

"Shh.. stay quiet and don't make any unnecessary movements."

Few seconds later, a girl with long red hair walk to the garden. She then hummed as she walked around. Prince Christopher arrived few seconds later.

"Hello your highness." Rose greeted, blushing slightly as he smiled at her lovingly.

"You don't need to say that when were alone. Call me Christopher." He say as he grabbed her hands gently. Rose blushed brighter and I can't help but cover my mouth to stop from giggling from the excitement as I watch this romantic scene unfold.

"C-christopher, why did you ask me to go here?" She asks him, looking into his aquamarine eyes.

"I heard that you were being bullied by Erica. I'm so sorry." He apologized, kissing the back of her hand lightly. She looked away, embarrassed at what he did.

"No, it's alright. I'm a commoner in a nobles's school. Im not mean't to be here." She say as she looked at his face and put her hands at her back.

"It doesn't matter.I'm going to punish her for hurting you."

"No! she's your fiancé! And besides, she didn't hurt me. She just spoke some words to me, that's all." She quickly answered.

"Tell me if she does anything bad to you. I'll be here for you." He stared at her lush pink lips as Rose stared back at him, like a prince had saved her from her cruel fate. I just stared at them, pondering what's going to happen next. There is the 2nd and 3rd school year where she will try to make the secret capture targets to fall in love with her.

I forgot that there is another secret capture target. First was the assasin and the second was the teacher, when I'm gone, there will be another villain that will replace me. And once she captures all of them, I think the 2nd game will continue since after she finished school, she went to become an adventurer with the capture targets. There she will try to defeat the demon king with the power of love and friendship. But I'm going to be there first, and make that demon transport me home.

I then pondered as I bit my thumb in thought. I then saw them left and I started to count down.

"Are we gonna leave yet?" Hades asked.

"We can leave now. I'll jump first." I then landed gracefully since I have been sitting in that tree branch for weeks and have gotten use to sitting there, staring at scenes happening in the garden. It is quite a romantic spot indeed. Hades followed after and almost lost balance but he then adjusted and stood straight. I giggled lightly.

"What are you laughing for? stupid human..." He muttered.

"It's nothing."

I just nodded and walked back to my classroom. These days, it seems that Prince Christopher has been avoiding me and is not eating lunch with me so of course I stopped the maids from cooking more lunches for the both of us.

I then sat down at my seat near the window and put on a cold aura and scribbled some things on my pocket notebook.

'Maybe I should buy that new novel at the store today. Should I put on a disguise? Nah! They're nobles. They won't know I'm buying commoner stuff. I'll just change into a simple clothes, just in case.'

Class then started as I took notes of the lessons.

I then quickly head home and changed into a simple clothing. My personal bodyguard then followed me as I head into the car to go to the store.

We arrive in front and my bodyguard opened the door for me as we both went inside the store. He sighed.

"Why are you sighing, Kent?" I ask him.

"Why do you insist on going here instead of asking one of your servants to fetch it for you?"

"What's the fun in that? I might find a good book when I'm here and a servant would just ignore it since they will just find the book I want. Besides, it's embarrasing. You're the only one who knows about my hobby." I explained cupping my face in embarrassment.

"Hahaha! Your really diffrent from the nobles." He laughed.

I then pouted and glared at him so he would be scared. He just laughed harder. "Hahaha! You can't scare me!

'Dammit! Am I losing touch? Is it because I've gotten a bit fat?'

I sighed. "Am I not scary?"

"Haha- It's more like you can't scare me with the way your dressed. You don't look like a noble with that clothes." I then bit both my lips and continue walking, looking at books and reading it's descriptions. He then finished laughing and followed after me. I then spotted the new novel I wanted.

"2nd book of 'Fated!' I finally found you!" I then grabbed it but another hand went to grabbed it as well. I glared at the person who dared to stop me from grabbing the book and saw the familiar, silky scarlet red hair tied into a braid and kitten like blue eyes.

"Ah! Im so so sorry!" She bowed and continued apologizing to me.

"You are forgiven. Don't tell anyone about this alright." I glared at her, daring her to tell anyone about this.

"O-of course! Are you also interested in the novel 'Fated!', it's a really nice book. I would like to meet the author one day." Suddenly, my fan girling kicked in and I then happily chatted with Rose about the novel. She was suprised at first but smiled at my actions. We then continued chatting until my bodygaurd told me that It's almost time for me to go back home. I then grabbed the 2nd novel as well as Rose also grabbed another one and I headed to the cashier as he smiled at me.

"Oh! your back!" I then nodded as he quickly finish putting it in a bag. I then payed and waved goodbye at him.

"I think he likes you!" Kent, my bodyguard said.

"Erica is pretty. It's understandable why he likes her." I say to him as we went inside the car. The driver then started the engine and we then started to go back to the mansion.

"Talking in 3rd person again."

"Thanks. I just realized, your not as polite now. You should be polite to your master."

"Haha! Your like a commoner when your not in public so I guess I just slipped my tounge."

"Hmm... I guess so. Well, we have arrived." I then saw the mansion in the distance as the gates started open once we were near.

I then went to my room after I left the car and smelled the fresh smell of new book and started reading it. It was almost past my bedtime curfew so I then put a bookmark on my book and gently place it on my bedside cabinet and turned off the lights and turned on my scent lamp.

I then went to school and kept my ears open to see if Rose did spread a rumor about me. Luckily no one is talking about it so I then went to my classroom and sat down at my chair.

Rose then arrived and saw me and smiled as she hesitantly waved at me. I waved back and stare at the window. It seems that the capture targets have not arrive yet, totally perfect chance for me to bully her yet why did she wave at me?

"Hello there miss Erica!" She greeted. "Hello. What do you want?" People are watching. They know that she's been hanging out with my fiancé and I've been bullying her and now they see us getting along. There's going to be another weird rumor starting.

"Why don't we go to the garden. It's still early anyway!" I then nodded and stood up and followed her as she kept on smiling like an angel at me.

'What do you want? Is she going to hurt me? No, this didn't happen in the game! She wouldn't!'

We then took a sit in the bench as she then smiled.

"So did you like the 2nd book? I haven't finish reading it!" She started. 'Oh. Yeah. She did saw me buying it. Is that what she wanted to talk?'

"I also haven't finished it as well." I answered.

"Who do you like in the book? I think I like the childhood friend!"

"I like her mentor! He's really caring and awesome!" We then started talking about the story again and I got carried away and started speaking more and smiled thinking of the story. We then happily chatted as then a few minutes later, I saw all 4 capture targets heading this way. I then quickly stood up and left Rose quickly as I head far away and jumped into my tree and sat on the bench.

"Are you okay, Rose?" Prince Christopher asked.

"Y-yes. Where did she go? We were just chatting a few seconds ago." She looked around. I then cast a hiding spell and wipe my sweat with my hankerchief.

'That was a close one.'

"I saw her heading that direction. Are you sure your okay? She didn't hurt you did she?" Robert said.

"I'm alright! We were just talking about-" she covered her mouth with her hands before telling them about my hobby.

"Im glad your alright, my beautiful flower. I'll hurt her if she dares lay a finger on you." Harrison promised. 'Woah! Harrison just got scary! Hohoho! Nope! That damn man ain't scary at all!'

They then left since class is almost over as I then chanted a teleporting spell to teleport myself to the girl's bathroom. It took me a long time as I then felt myself move. I then saw I'm in the fancy girl's bathroom in the first floor and quickly left to go to my classroom. I then saw the capture targets talking with the heroine and I then head to my chair, hiding my presence.
