When he went out, he saw his daddy coming out of the car as expected. He widened his eyes and ran over. “Daddy.”

“Why are you alone? Where’s Mommy?” Nicholas carried the little guy in his arms naturally and walked to the living room.

At this moment, Gregory started to tattle beside Nicholas’ ears, saying, “Mommy is in the living room, but she looks like she’s not in a good mood. Remember to cheer her up later, Daddy.”

After saying that, he came down from Nicholas’ arms cheekily and turned around to run. It was obvious that he was leaving the space for Nicholas to cheer Tessa up.

Seeing that, Nicholas couldn’t help but smile, but he still hastened his footsteps into the living room.

When he entered the living room, he saw Tessa sitting on the couch, down in the dumps as expected.

When Nicholas saw that, he pulled her back down onto the couch and explained with a smile, “Greg told me that you’re not in a good mood, so he asked me to cheer you up. Tell me—what happened?”

Hearing that, Tessa didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but she was touched as well. That little guy is really sensitive.

When her eyes met his concerned gaze, she hesitated a little, but still told him about her conversation with Sofia in the afternoon. “Do you think I’m selfish?” She looked at him, waiting for his answer.

However, he landed a knock on her head and said unhappily, “You’re starting to imagine things again, aren’t you?”

Tessa pressed her hand on her painful forehead while tears welled up in her eyes.

Without waiting for her to say anything, he went ahead of her and said, “Everyone has the right to pursue their dreams. You don’t have to overthink it. It’s no big deal. I can bring our children wherever you go in the future.”
