Chapter 1239
Always Been Yours
âWhat did you buy? Why are there so many things?â âI bought newborn clothes for the baby and also some toys for Greg. I thought they looked interesting, so I bought all of them,â Kieran said while taking out a few pieces to present them to Tessa.
Gregory stood by and looked expectantly at him. âUncle Kieran, where are the things you bought for me?â
âOh, here they are. See if you like them.â Kieran picked out Gregoryâs toys, which were quite abundant. Gregory was very happy, so he said with a sweet smile, âI like all the gifts you bought me, Uncle Kieran.
Hearing this, Tessa also smiled. She snuggled into Nicholasâ arms and watched the uncle and nephew duò play with each other.
Later, Andrew came to inform them that dinner was ready, and the family thereafter moved to the dining hall. During dinner, Kieran laughed and bantered with Gregory for a while before chatting with Nicholas about the companyâs affairs. Soon, the topic turned to the Muller Group.
âNicholas, I heard that Wanda has recently resold her assets in the past two days; do you know about this?â Kieran looked over curiously. Nicholas nodded slightly. âI know.â
He got the news earlier than Kieran, but he didnât pay attention to it. It turned out that Wanda had already made plans to go abroad. As for the local company, she planned to keep a part of the assets and arrange for someone to take over when the time came. She had already found a buyer for the rest and would resell them all.
Tonight, she had made an appointment with a client to discuss the sale in the clubhouse. During the negotiation, although there were some minor problems, the final result was to everyoneâs satisfaction.
After the discussion, Wanda personally sent the client off before turning around and going to the parking lot. Just as she was about to open the door, a drunken voice sounded behind her.
âWanda, I finally see you!â
Oliver stood not far away, reeking of alcohol. Ever since he knew that Wanda had framed him, he had been wanting to demand an explanation from her, but he never saw her anywhere. Hearing that Wanda would meet a client here tonight, he came here immediately. intending to question her.
On the other hand, Wanda frowned when Oliver walked over, reeking of alcohol. âWhat are you doing here?â
âWhat do you think Iâm here for? You can let things go very casually, huh? Yet you can just as easily harm and frame others in private without any mercy at all!â
Oliver stretched out his finger and pointed at Wanda, his gaze fiery with anger.
Wanda felt guilty for a moment, but she soon calmed down. She shoved Oliverâs hand away that was pointing at her and pretended not to understand him. âI donât understand what you are talking about.
Get out of the way; I want to go home.â
With that said, she turned around and was about to open the door to get in the car. Seeing this, Oliverâs anger rose. âB*tch, you still pretend to not know anything?!â
He grabbed Wandaâs wrist, pulled her in front of him, and then slapped her. Stunned by the sudden slap, Wanda soon reacted and struggled immediately. Unfortunately, there was a stark difference between their physical. strength, and she couldnât break free at all.
âOliver, let me go! Let go!â Wanda admonished angrily and wanted to hit Oliver with her hand.
However, before she could do so, Oliver grabbed her. He pushed hard, shoved her against the car door, leaned in close, and said with a sneer, âSince you provoked me, donât even try to escape from my grasp.â
Wanda looked at the man with a maniacal expression in front of her, feeling angry and afraid. âOliver, donât forget what happened before. Our two families have broken off our marriage engagement. Let me warn you, if you donât let me go, you will be taken to the police station again!â
She threatened Oliver harshly, hoping that he would give up. But this reminded Oliver of what happened before, and it made him even more infuriated. âWho told you that the engagement was terminated? As long as I disagree, the engagement will continue,â he growled at Wanda.
Wandaâs face turned pale with fright, and at the same time, she became even more incensed. âOliver, who do you think you are? Do you think. you can force me just by disagreeing? Let me tell you-thatâs impossible!â
