Meanwhile, Nicholas coldly responded, “You seem to be able to easily express your gratitude verbally, but I can’t sense any sincerity at all! Tessa Reinhart! If you actually intend to thank me, then you shouldn’t keep running away! Are you such a scaredy-cat?!”

Then, Tessa was stunned by his rebuke and it took her a short while to understand his words. She was indeed running away from the issue. Ever since she had been discharged from the hospital, she had been avoiding both Nicholas and Gregory. However, there was no point in running away because the issue had still remained.
