Chapter 331
Always Been Yours
Hayley knew very well that once a man like Nicholas got serious, he would absolutely be loyal to his feelings. And she needed a man like this in her life.
A hint of resolution sparked in her beautiful eyes as she stared in the direction where Nicholas had disappeared. âI will win you over!â
In Dynasty Gardens, Nicholas heard the sound of a violin coming from the second floor as soon as he entered the living room.
At this moment, Andrew came over respectfully. âMaster Nicholas, youâre back.â
Nicholas nodded and handed over the briefcase in his hand. After that, he asked, âIs Greg practicing his violin upstairs?â
âYes. The young master started practicing in the music room this afternoon. Then, after he had his dinner, he went into the music room again.â
Nicholas was quite surprised as he listened to Andrewâs reply. He was astonished because Gregory had not touched his violin much since Tessa left.
Nicholas made his way upstairs and then pushed the door into the music room.
âDaddy!â Gregory immediately put down his violin and trotted over happily as he saw Nicholas enter the room. He hugged Nicholasâ long legs. Then, he raised his head and asked, âDaddy, when did you come back?â
âOh, I just came back. I heard youâre practicing your violin, so I came over to have a look.â
Nicholas ruffled Gregoryâs hair with his hand. His initially austere facial features softened. âWhy did you start playing the violin again?â
âDaddy, stop rubbing my head. Youâre ruining my hairstyle!â Gregory immediately loosened his hold on Nicholasâ thighs and stepped aside to straighten the hair that Nicholas messed up.
Nicholas let out a hearty laugh when he saw that and walked straight into the music room.
After straightening his hair, Gregory followed him. Then, he bragged in his soft and adorable voice and said, âMiss Tessa and I had a video call during the day, and she even taught me a new song.â
When Nicholas saw the arrogant look on Gregoryâs face, his facial expression softened up even more.
As a matter of fact, he had already guessed that Gregory practicing his violin might have something to do with Tessa.
âSo, was the song you played a while ago a new song that you had just learned?â
âYeah! Miss Tessa even sent me the music sheet and asked me to practice more.â Gregory looked at Nicholas. His gaze was very bright, as if there was starlight glimmering in his black pupils.
After that, Nicholas asked again, âWell then, how is your practice coming along?â
âDaddy, do you want to listen to me play?â Gregory blinked his big eyes and looked at Nicholas cutely.
As he was interested in discovering Gregoryâs violin skills, he nodded.
âThen Iâll play it for you.â
As Gregory said that, he picked up his violin and put it in between his neck and shoulders. Then, he started playing while looking at the music score.
After Gregory played for a while, Nicholas finally recognized the song that he was playing. It was âA Time for Usâ and was supposed to be a tender and romantic piece. But unfortunately, under Gregoryâs rocky performance, Nicholas did not feel any tender love or romance that he was supposed to feel in this piece. Instead, Gregory had somewhat ruined such a good piece of music with his unskilled performance and made him chuckle in amusement.
I didnât expect Tessa to teach him such a difficult music score remotely. Isnât this too difficult for Greg?
When he heard sounds of laughter, Gregory immediately stopped playing. Then, puffing up his cheeks in anger, he glared at Nicholas.
Nicholas knew then that his laughter had angered Gregory. He then complimented Gregory with a light cough while suppressing his laugh, âYour violin skill is all right. Itâs quite good.â
There was a noticeable tint of disdain in Gregoryâs eyes as he heard Nicholasâ
insincere compliment.
âWho says itâs good? I canât even finish playing the whole song without pausing here and there. You only know how to coax me like Iâm a child,â Gregory retorted.
Meanwhile, in Vienna, Tessa had a good nightâs sleep until dawn in her apartment. However, when she finally got up and had a good stretch, she was a little stunned when she looked at the unfamiliar yet familiar environment, followed by a sense of loss that crept into her heart.
I have lived in this apartment for several days. But Timothy, Greg, and even Nicholas are not here. I keep feeling that something is missing. Although I have made up my mind to work hard, I canât help but miss them.
âWhat should I do? I really want to go back,â Tessa whispered as she hung her head.
In an instant, the atmosphere in the room also turned gloomy. But fortunately, her emotions came and went very quickly.
