Chapter 609
Always Been Yours
As Angus spoke, he got up from his seat. But then, something came into his mind, and he asked, âBy the way, are you coming to the restaurant less in the future?â
âI guess so. After all, Iâm officially in the orchestra, and the daily practice is intensive. So, I really donât have much time,â Tessa answered.
Angus sounded regretful as he said, âThatâs such a shame. It looks like I can only listen to your performance when you perform with your band.â
âWell, thatâs not true. I promised Mr. Wilbur that Iâll be here a few times a month.â
Then, she briefly told him about her conversation with Wilbur earlier in the evening.
After he heard the agreement between them, he couldnât help but feel amazed. The owner and manager of this restaurant are excellent businessmen. Despite that, he chuckled and joked, âWell, Iâll have to ask someone to reserve a seat for me on the day of your performance. Otherwise, I wonât get a good spot.â
âItâs not that exaggerated.â She packed away her violin as she chuckled at his actions and put it on her back, ready to leave.
Angus sensed her intent and followed her. âI stopped my car on the street opposite the restaurant.
Later, wait for me at the door for a while, and we can leave when I drive my car over.â
âThanks for the offer, but my butler is already here to pick me up,â she turned him down with a smile.
Out of wits, he could only watch as Tessa left in her car.
Back in the villa, Tessa received a video call from Nicholas. âWeâve already disembarked and are going home now.â
âTake a good rest at home, and donât be in a rush to go back to work,â she reminded him with a smile.
Next to Nicholas, Gregory said sweetly, âMiss Tessa, donât worry. Iâll help you to keep an eye on Daddy.
If he misbehaves, Iâll tell you.â
âOkay, keep an eye for me, Greg.â
OT Nicholas was speechless at their conversation, but his eyes gleamed with warmth, and they only hung up after chatting for a little longer.
After that, Nicholas brought Gregory back to Dynasty Gardens to rest and unpack.
The next morning, after breakfast, Stefania came over for a visit because she missed her grandchild, whom she hadnât seen for a few days straight.
âGreg. Iâm here to see you.â She immediately picked him up in her arms when she stepped into the living room.
âWhy are you here, Grandma?â
Gregory smiled brightly, placing his arms around her neck as his dark eyes sparkled.
âIâm here because I missed you,â she answered, sitting on the couch with him in her arms. âDid you miss me, Greg?â
âYes, I miss you so much!â
âYouâre lying. Why didnât you visit me if you miss me?â she complained.
He blinked in confusion as he replied in his cherubic voice, âIâm not lying, Grandma. I really missed you a lot.â
After he said that, he took the initiative to kiss Stefania on the cheek to console her.
It was rare of him to be so initiative, and she couldnât be happier about it, hence forgetting about everything else.
Just then, Nicholas had just dressed up and was coming downstairs with a briefcase when he saw his mother and son playing around.
âWhy are you here, Mom?â he asked, coming down the staircase gracefully.
Stefania regarded her gorgeous son as she said with a smile, âIâm missing my grandson, so I came overâ
He nodded dispassionately, and when he was about to leave, she stopped him by calling, âHang on. I have something to speak about with you.â
âWhat is it?â He immediately stopped in his tracks and turned to her.
When she noticed this, the smile on her face slid off, and she asked seriously, âIâm asking you, is Tessa the only woman for you?â
âYes,â he answered curtly but sounded exceptionally firm.
His resolute answer gave rise to a surge of complicated emotions in her heart. âEven if you really want to marry her, have you thought about what you will do with her current profession if sheâs really married into the family? Is she going to be flying between here and there the whole time? What about Greg at that time, then? I wonât allow it if thereâs no one to take care of him.â
