When she heard the man’s solemn apology, Tessa couldn’t help laughing.

She followed Nicholas closely. Thinking of the dangers of smoking, she deliberately looked serious and demanded, “No matter what, you mustn’t smoke in the future.”

Nicholas naturally agreed. His deep and magnetic voice was indescribably indulgent.

Downstairs, Sebastian watched as the two walked out of the study while holding hands, and he retreated with a gratified smile on his face.

After returning to the room, Tessa pushed Nicholas into the bathroom while urging, “You smell of smoke. Hurry up and go take a shower.”

“Shower with me.” Nicholas pulled Tessa without letting go.

Tessa stood on the spot with red cheeks, feeling that Nicholas’ words were rather suggestive.

After all, the elders of his family had always disagreed about them being together.

Tessa didn’t want Nicholas to bear all the pressure alone and wanted to help shoulder it together.

He stared at Tessa affectionately.
