Chapter twelve: Moving in

The billionaire's wife ✓ [Editing]

Elizabeth's POV

It's been two weeks since the accident. My parents haven't spoken to me ever since. When I try to talk to them, they just ignored me. Not that I'm complaining because they can be really annoying.

I still can't believe they moved our wedding date even closer, it's now in two weeks time. How am I supposed to cope with all of this?

Right now I'm busy packing my bags because I have to move in with Charles, I was supposed to have moved in with him already.

He said that he would come and pick me up since I didn't know where his house was.

After hours of waiting and packing, he finally came, at least that's what I thought.

I heard a loud knock on the door. I walked to the door expecting a smirk Charles but instead, it was a complete stranger.

"How may I help you?" I asked the man who was standing in front of me by the door.

"Good morning madam, Mr Greene send me to pick you up. He had an emergency he had to attend to." The man answered.

"OK, I'll go get my bags," I said.

I ran upstairs to collect my bags. He helped me carry my bags to the car since there were too heavy.

This is it. I'm finally moving into my soon-to-be, husband's house.

Just great!

Note the sarcasm.

It felt like an hour before we got there. All the houses in the area are extremely huge. It must be nice living here.

I got out of the car to see the most beautiful house I have ever seen. That is if you can even call it a house. It was more like a mansion. It was way bigger than my parents' house. Everything about it screamed billions.

No wonder he was so arrogant.

I got out of the car admiring the view.

"Like the house?" Charles said as he walked out of the house.

"I thought your driver said you had an emergency you had to attend to," I said

"I just wanted to welcome you home. So do you like the house?"

"Of course, your house is so beautiful."

"It's our house now. Come let's go inside."

That's different. He is actually being nice to me.

"OK, this way let me show you to your room." He said

"OK, why are you being nice to be."

"Well if we are going to live together and find a way out of this marriage we have to work together, oh and can you please wear something comfortable, I would like to take you same where."

"Are you asking me on a date?"

"I guess I am." He said with a smirk."

"Charles I can't, I have a lot of packing to do," I said.

"I'll just ask Eva to help you."

"No it's OK, I'll do it myself. I feel bad about asking her to pack my bags for me, besides it's not her job."

"OK, I'll help you to pack when we get back."

"Promise?"

"Promise," he said.

"OK get something to wear."

"I'll be waiting for you in the car." He said closing the door.

I have to say my new room is so big. It's like my mom's kitchen and launch combined.

I better start getting dressed. I opened my bag to grab my pair of sneakers and my ripped skinny jeans.

After getting dressed I walked to his car to see a very impatient Charles.

I was shocked he didn't make any remarks about my appearance or the fact I was late.

"So where are we going?" I asked getting into the car.

"Can't tell you, it's a surprise." He answered with a smirk on his face.

It took about half an hour before we took a stop. What surprised me was that we stopped at the pet shop.

"What are we doing at a pet shop?"

"You said you wanted a dog so we are here to get you one."

"You going to get me a dog? I thought you said you hated dogs." I said remembering our childhood.

"Yes I do but it wouldn't hurt at all if it makes my princess happy."

"Since when do you care about how I feel?'

"I always did."

"You are up to something and I'm gonna find out what."

"Good luck with that."

"Came let's go in."

We got into the store to look at all the dogs. They were all so cute, I had no idea how I was going to choose from all those dogs. That's when I saw a puppy all alone. He looked so cute with his brown little eyes that were now staring at me.

"I want that one," I said pointing at the cute little puppy.

"OK, you wait for me by the car while I get the puppy."

I did exactly as he said. After about ten minutes he finally came with my little brown dog. he gently handed me the dog before finally speaking.

"Now came, there is somewhere I would like to show you."

"Why don't we go on another day, besides I have some assignments I have to finish."

"It won't take an hour. Now came."

"I would just be happy to go back home so I would stop stressing about my assignments."

"Fine, but we are going tomorrow."

"Deal."

After that, we went back to the car. I took the dog to the back seat. After that, I went back to my seat next to Charles.

"What should I name him," I asked as he started driving.

"I don't know, Charles Junior."

"No way, he is not that ugly."

"You really hurt my feelings you know," he said with his hand on his chest.

"Why don't you just play some music."

He turned the radio on and want to want me by Jason Derulo started playing.

"It's too hard to sleep, we got the sheets on the floor. Nothing on us. And we can't take it no more it's a hundred degrees

You got one foot out the door, but you ain't got your keys

But you gotta leave yeah In the back of the cab you tipped the driver ahead of time, to get you there fast

And you got my body on your mind, you want it bad

Just the thought of me gets you so high, so high

Boy, I'm the one and you've got to have me And if you want me, boy you got me."

Before I could sing any further the music was off.

"Put it back on," I yelled at Charles

"No way, you torturing Charles Junior and me with your singing."

"No, I'm not, you wish you had a voice like mine."

He then looked at me then raised his eyebrow to give me the 'oh really' look.

"And you should just keep quiet because you clearly don't know the lyrics."

"Yes I do, I'm just singing the girl version of the song so it wouldn't make me seem as if I'm a lesbian."

"What's wrong with being lesbian?"

"Nothing, it's just that there is this person I'm sitting next to and he is very judgemental."

"No, I'm not, what if I told you I was gay would you believe me?"

"No, I wouldn't."

"Why do you think I don't wanna marry you?"

"Because you hate me."

"And why do you think I hate you."

"I don't know."

By the sound of this, things were starting to get a little personal.

"It's because ever since we were kids my parents always tried to hook me up with you and I was never into girls so I started pushing you away because I didn't want you to fall in love with me and I would end up having to hurt you."

"So why did you date all those girls."

"So people wouldn't figure it out, idiot."

"And I thought my life was a mess," I mumbled

"I heard that you know."

The rest of the journey home was silent.

When we came back from the pet store, Charles helped me with my packing. When he said he would earlier I didn't actually believe him because he is not very good at keeping promises. I'd know that.

Not so long after that, I heard the doorbell ring. Since Charles was too busy watching his soccer game he asked me to get it.

I wonder who it could be. Probably one of Charles's friends.

"OK, I'm coming" I yelled.

Whoever it was had been ringing the doorbell for the past two minutes. It's not my fault this house is so big.

I opened the door only to see the biggest shock of my life.

"Michael?" I said, my eyes widen in shock.

"Elie?" He said.
