Chapter 13 - Holy Shit
Timmy (bxb) - Wattpadprize14
Sorry for the little delay - times are pretty busy here. Somehow the year is almost over and Christmas is knocking at the door. I'm currently debating to nail the door closed.
===============
The sweet scent of strong coffee wafted through the pack house, waking all inhabitants up due to their sensible noses. Most of them groaned tiredly. That night was anything but quiet.
Not only Alpha howled the whole night in pain until he stopped finally somewhat in the middle of the night. Other noises came from Alphas room, who was cleaned up hastily last night, so that Nathan and Timmy had a bed for themselves.
And seeing that one of the guest rooms was occupied by a freshly mated couple, one of them a former 2000 year old virgin, didnât help at all.
The first pack guard, his name was Samuel, tapped sleepily into the kitchen where a happy smiling Timmy made breakfast. With hooded eyes he shuffled over to the countertop, not bothering with the ham and eggs, but taking a huge cup of coffee. He sniffed at the cup and his face lit up slightly. Timmy made a strong coffee.
He gazed hopefully at his young...Alpha? Luna? Oh, well, he will find out soon enough, Samuel decided. His brain wasnât on full alert right now and it was far to exhausting to think this over.
He shuffled over to the table, sat down and placed his face at the surface on the table. Settling down and holding to his cup tightly. Timmy decided that they might need more coffee and set up the big pot, holding 2 gallons of water and fished two full packages of coffee out of the storage.
He waited patiently for the water to boil, seeing one after another pack guard shuffling in the kitchen, repeating Samuels actions, until all eight guards sat at the table, the last four without a coffee and whimpering pathetically because of the lack of caffeine. Finally the water was boiling and Timmy thought about the best way to brew the coffee.
Finally he thought: âOh scratch. Itâs not like they will realize what they drink in that state.â and he threw the content of both packages into the huge pot. He let the coffee simmer slightly and the intense scent of coffee woke the pack guards up enough, so they were able to lift their cups together at the same time, demanding some coffee.
Timmy clucked. âAww...poor guys. Did you stay awake the whole night to guard the pack?â he asked innocently. Samuel lifted his head. âNot really. Actually we tried to sleep, but somehow our wolves were on full alert because somehow they thought that there was a mass slaughter in Alphas room.â Timmy blushed furiously, remembering the last night. âErmm⦠I thought the room was soundproofed?â he asked agitated.
Another guard murmured sleepily. âI wish.â Samuel lifted his cup and said: âAnd donât get me started with that Vampire and Ginny. Poor little girl. He really tried to made up for 2000 years of abstinence, didnât he?â That statement followed a desperate groan from all guards, except one, who was snoring lightly.
Then suddenly Nathan came barreled into the kitchen, yelling: âWhat the heck is wrong here?â looking around frantically. The new Alpha looked funny, his hair dissheveld, looking like the skin of a hedgehog, only wearing his briefs. His whole body was covered with scratches and love bites.
Samuel looked at Timmy in disbelief, pointing with his thumb at Nathan. âYouâve got to be kidding?â he asked wide eyed. Timmy blushed even more, getting agitated. Did he do something wrong? âNo, we didnât. Something that pleasurable wouldnât be wrong in any way.â Buddy chimed it, grinning smugly. âBut why are they looking at us like that.â Buddy thought a brief moment, before answering. âItâs just them. They are just jealous. For sure.â
Nathan slapped the head of the pack guard, scowling at him. âStop it. Now.â he snapped at the poor guard. Samuel looked at Timmy and realized how much he had upset the Alphaâs mate. He looked at the other man: âOops, sorry. I was just joking. Really, sorry, Timmy.â he apologized, and Timmy calmed down a bit. âSee?â Buddy told his friend, now grinning goofily. Timmy never saw his lifelong friend that happy, but on the other hand: He never felt that happy. âYip yip. Good feeling, isnât it?â Buddy answered his unspoken thoughts. Timmy smiled dreamily. âOh yeahâ¦â
Nathan strolled to his mate, smiling at him lovingly. âGood morning, love.â Timmy looked up to him and they shared a brief moment, just gazing in each others eyes, when Nathans stomach snatched them out of their trance, growling loudly. The pack guards perked up and started to laugh, waking up Darren, the sleeping guard. His head shot up from his place, eyes hooded. âHuh? What? Wait⦠oh nevermind.â with that he fell back to his table, snuggled his head into his arms. Five seconds later they all heard his snore, indicating he went back to sleep.
Nathan looked at the guys with a slight amusement. âOh boy, you all look like shit. Didnât you sleep last night?â The guards looked at him in disbelief. âYouâve got to be kidding?â Samuel asked him. âDidnât you hear yourself? Or your sister and ther mate, by the way?â he asked incredulously. âThere was literally no way for us to sleep as long as you were going at it. And finally you were sleeping and all of us were happy to sleep and then your sister started again.â
Samuel rubbed his eyes tiredly. âDude, I heard that this Vampire was a 2000 year old virigin, but for an innocent he surely knew how to play his womanâ¦â and after a second he added, a bit quieter. âor more the other way aroundâ¦â
Nathan shuddered. He didnât need the image of his sister doing...whatever with a freaking Vampire for the sake of all spirits. He tried to answer, when the door opened again, revealing his happy smiling sister and a Mr. Portier who was smiling dazedly, his eyes not leaving his mate. And his hands not leaving parts of her body Nathan didnât want to think about.
Sammy planted his mug on the table. âOkay, thatâs it. Iâm going to bed. And donât any of you dare to wake me up, even if the world is going to collide. I will sleep right to the afterlife then.â
He marched out of the kitchen, slamming the door. The other pack guards looked at Nathan, bowing apologetically. âHeâs right, you know?â one of them managed to say, before he hauled ass out of the kitchen, leaving two stunned couples and a still snoring pack guard behind.
Ginny walked to Timmy, pecking him on his cheek. âGood morning, little brother-in-lawâ she smiled at him. Timmy face, who fell when his pack mates left the kitchen, was adressed like this the first time of his life. His whole posture brightened visibly, he looked at his sister-in-law with a hope Nathan cut deeply in his heart. âReally? Brother-in-law?â he was shaking with joy. âOh boy, I have a family-in-lawâ he chirped happily. Nathan vowed silently to kick everybodys ass who dared to disappoint his mate.
A sharp pain in his lower half let him yelp. âNate? What the HECK?â he asked his wolf. âWell, just fulfilling your vow. I donât want you to be guilty on a false oath.â Nathan could see his wolf looking at him far too innocently and he groaned. âOh come on, Nate. I thought this times were over?â Nate just shrugged and looked at him, grinning evilly. Nathan realized that his sister was looking at him in disbelief. âDid you just try to kick yourself?â Nathan sighed deeply. âDonât ask, sister of mine.â
Ginnys laughter chimed through the kitchen. âNate?â she asked happily. âGood boy.â Nathan was miffed. âWould you please stop egging him on?â he pleaded. âItâs bad enough like it is.â Timmy looked at him sternly. âStop it, Nate. He didnât need more punishment, do you hear me?â A slight whimper in his mind let him know that Nate understood everything. âThank you, love.â he pecked his mate on his nose, smiling happily.
Mr. Portier meanwhile was standing like a statue, his fangs popped out halfway, looking at his mate like a hungry predator. The fangs were sparkling in the bright sunlight coming from the outside. Nathan got curious. âWhy are your fangs sparkling that much, Mr. Portier?â he asked the vampire.
He blushed slightly. âOh, please. Call me âArrald. You are ma frére now.â he answered hastily. Nathan nodded. âOkay...âArrald. And why exactly are your fangs sparkling?â he pressed. Harald hesitated, but Ginny snuggled in his arms, encouraging him lovingly. âDonât, Darling. Just tell him what you told me.â she said and that was all the poor Vampire needed.
âWell, I always was a bit clumsy. You know? The runt in the family and then I managed to get bitten by a Vampire who turned me. Born as a rogue Vampire without a coven, I didnât know anything, nobody taught me.â he didnât look sad at the memories, he was just stating facts. âMy family found me unconscious and took me home. They thougth I was dying.â he paused briefly, and Ginny took his hand.
âBut I wasnât dying. I was changing. And when I finally woke up, I saw a beautiful woman standing beside me. But I was a new Vampire and she was a human. And I was very very thirsty. So I drank until I was sated.â He paused briefly, his gaze wandering into the far away memories. âAnd when I finally found reason again, all my family was dead or near dead. And with his last breath my father cursed me.â
Ginny took his hand, silently encouraging him more. âHe was a Druid in the southern part of France, one of the last of his Clan and one of the most powerful. The curse basically said that I would not find a mate again until I am a true hero and a man who is worth mentioning.â he looked firmly at Nathan. âOh for the first few centuries I didnât care about mates. I didnât even know what I was missing.â
Timmy silently filled the mugs with more coffee and Ginny filled the plates with the ham and eggs from the pans, listening carefully. âIt was the sixth or seventh century of my existence, when I felt hungry. I was right in the middle of the plains in Siberia and no human for miles, when I found that flock of Gargoyles.â he paused, scrunching his nose. âGargoyles are not very tasty. Really. But if you are starving you donât really care about the taste.â he continued. âBut if I had known that something like stone gargoyles even exist I would have fed from the polar bears.â he said, looking sadly. âLong story short: I tried to feed from that stone gargoyle. And it turns out that Vampire teeth are not immune to that kind of stone.â
He stopped. âMy fangs broke. And a Vampire without fangs is an easy prey even to humans. So I tried to hide myself, but, oh, I was so hungry and thirsty. Vampires donât die from it. But at some point they wish it is possible.â Mr. Portier took a deep breath. âFinally a Vampire coven found me. They took me in, fed me. And their Elder gave me my new fangs, made out of diamonds. He applied them magically, so they work like normal fangs. He really seemed to know what he was doing.â His voice trailed off, like he was sunk in memories.
âNow when I think it over: Most of those Vampires had sparkling teethâ¦â he shook his head, finally snapping out of his memories. âThey taught me about mates also. What mates are for. And seeing the love between those couples I wanted that for myself.  But I had that curse on me. And Dmitiri, the Elder of the Vampire Clan, wasnât able to take away. My father was too strong.â
Harald sighed. âAnd ever since I tried to become a true hero.â He looked at Nathan curiously. âI really donât know why it happened now.â Nathan, who had an idea, asked: âWhy did you decide to help us here?â The vampire thought about it. âI was flying over that place when a golden shine caught my eye. I got curious and then I landed on that lot.â Ginny giggled. âI am the terror who faps the night.â she chimed in. âDarling that was hilarious.â Harald looked at her, puzzled.
âWell? What was wrong with that sentence?â All four wolves looked at him incredulously. Nathan sighed. âWellâ¦. you basically said that you help the night to help herself.â Harald cocked his head. âQui?â It was obviously that he didnât understand a word. Ginny got on her tiptoes and whispered something in his ears. In order to that Nathan and Timmy watched fascinated that a Vampire was actually able to blush. Or for using a better description:
His face went completely thermonuclear.
âOh non  non non non non⦠I didnât⦠did I? See? the sentence was meant to describe that I fly through the night...like fapping. His arms went up and down frantically, indicating a bat flapping their wings.â
That was it. Nate and Buddy both broke down laughing hysterically. Mr. Portier was almost desperate. âI used this sentence for my approach to the evil for many years now, a young man taught it to me, when he taught me the english language.â Timmy and Nathan, sensing the distress the Vampire was in, tried desperately to hold in their laughter, their eyes were shining bright, they tried desperately to contain their laughter and hearing both wolves howling in a laughing fit didnât help one bit.
Ginny got equal problems, but she finally decided to put the poor Vampire out of his misery. âDarling, he told you fLapping. Not fapping. Similar words, but close enough for somebody whose native language was different.â
(That is the first and ONLY authors note I will ever put right in the middle of the text: Imagine ME as Mr. Portier, being on an exchange in Great Britain. One afternoon we visited a home with nice elderly people and we discussed. Somehow we came to âbatsâ and the similar usage. And I said in all innocence: âWell, some bats fap and other beat you upâ. Wellâ¦. using foreign languages can be traumaticâ¦. and now back to Timmy)
Harald Portier looked completely devastated and both, Timmy and Buddy felt pity for him. He approached the Vampire and nudged him gently: âAt least you helped us. And became a true hero.â Mr. Portier shook his head. âI still donât get it. Why now?â he asked puzzled. âBecause you helped a sun wolf.â A strained voice came from the door. Germaine, the Beta stood there, his furious mate snarling behind him and a fluffy pink handcuff hanging from his left wrist.
He turned around slightly. âOh come on, honey. Iâm not on my deathbed. Iâm fine. Well, more or less. But I wonât die when Iâm standing on my own feet.â His voice sounded defensive and sassy and didnât help anything to calm the snarling down. Â Timmy rushed to Germaine, leading him to the next chair before he toppled over or his mate went ballistic out of sheer worry. The vampire looked at him curiously. âWhat do you mean - âbecause I helped a sun wolfâ?â
Germaine shared a look with Nathan and he nodded briefly. âWell, sun wolves are rare. Â They are our judges and they are incorruptible. They are precious. And they are the biggest treasure a pack could have. And in saving that treasure for our pack without asking any question, just following the plea of the wolf, means: You are that true hero.â Germaine paused briefly. âI heard your story. Twice, I may add.â he looked at Nathan. Â âYou should consider to make some of the rooms soundproof.â Several faint voices from upstairs were heard: âOH YEAH!!!â Nathan blushed but nodded. âAnd I guess it is all your fathers doing. In killing your family you let your desire overrule your ratio. And you misjudged the importance of the desires. In following the plea of a precious sun wolf you proved that your judgement improved - and you might broke the curse.â
Darrens head popped up. âYou mean that Mate-tea is actually no tea to find his mate?â he asked disappointed? Germaine shook his head, grinning. âDamn. I drank one gallon of that awful stuff.â he cursed. âIf you think that getting a mate is that easy, you should consider to live as a monkâ Germaine mocked the young man who went upstairs, ears clearly downcast.
âBuddy?â Timmy asked with a timid voice. âYeah?â Buddy answered him gently. âDid you hear that?â Buddy chuckled. âYeah, I heard it.â Timmy was getting upset. âBut I always thought we were too stupid for the pack. Thatâs what Alpha told Mommy and Daddy and us.â he told his friend. âThat means Alpha lied. And that means he was wrong.â Buddy nodded. âTold you so a long time ago. How often did I told you not to listen to that man? He told you bad things and nothing good comes out of people who are trying to make you miserable.â Timmy nodded. âBut he was Alpha.â Buddy shook his head. âNo, he still is Alpha. We need to fix that. And soon.â he said firmly. âBut how? Isnât Nathan Alpha by now?â Buddy sighed. âAsk our mate if he can hear the pack link.â
Timmy furrowed his brows, but asked Nathan about the pack link. Nathan was puzzled. âPack link?â Germaine looked at him. âDidnât you hear the constant voices of the pack?â he asked startled. Nathan shook his head. âNo, only Nate. Why?â Germaine cocked his eyebrows. âTimmy?â he asked the young man. âBuddy told me to ask. He said something of that Alpha is still Alpha of the pack. But how can this even possible?â Timmy was getting agitated. âThat canât be possible.â Nathan saw that Timmy was getting scared and wrapped his arms tightly around his waist.
âShhh...calm down. Ask Buddy why, would you, love?â Timmy nodded. âTimmy, my friend. I have to turn over and explain it directly. We are clearly running out of time.â Timmy trustet his friend with all his soul and so he didnât bat an eye and said: âYeah. I didnât understand that all and maybe you can fix it?â he pleaded. Buddy nudged him gently. âI will do whatever I can.â
Nathan saw that Timmy changed subtle but clearly. âBuddy?â he asked his mate warily. The younger wolf turned around, looking at him lovingly. âYeah. And I wanted to do that for a long time.â With that he took Nathans face in his hand and kissed him gently but with all his love for both of them.
When he retrieved he smiled at his mate. âThat was a gift just for me. Sorry for being selfish.â he sobered up quickly. âBut we have to act quickly now. Nathan, you basically lost the fight, means that Alpha defended his position. He is still Alpha. And your brother-in-law couldnât take over the Alpha position seeing he is a Vampire and he didnât challenge him. We have to fix this. And we have to fix it soon. Alpha is dying. And if we donât handle quickly the pack is lost. The Alphaâs link is what is holding a pack together. Losing the link means losing the pack. And if Alpha dies without being stripped of his powers the pack will be lost forever.â
Germaine cursed. âShit. I didnât realized that.â his wife said, a bit tiredly. âHoney, you were a little bit preoccupied, donât you think?â Nathan thought it over.
âOkay, Buddy. And how do we fix it?â
==========
Okay, I'll tell you how to fix it as soon as I find it out :-D
