Ketki:

I was in my room drying my hair. We just got done with Haldi and tomorrow is the day... my wedding. I pinched myself to see whether I was dreaming or not.

I'm gonna get married tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll be a married woman. How will my life be after marriage?

Will Rudra treat me well? Or will he just get frustrated by my blind self? Will he leave me? I shook my head.

No no, he has feelings for me right he won't let me go he won't disappoint me. I sighed for the nth time. I finished drying my hair.

I heard a knock on the door.

"Who?"

I was confused because at this time who would come to my room?

"Sunshine"

I smiled hearing Dada's voice and got up. Dada held my hand and made me sit on the bed.

"Aai's clover pendant looks beautiful on you"

Dada said and automatically my hand went to the pendant and I held it.

"You remember you stayed under your bed for a whole day worrying everyone in the house cause you wanted the pendant"

Dada spoke, gaining a small laugh from me. And how my eyes went teary.

"I miss Aai"

I spoke as a drop of tears left my eyes. Dada wiped it and kissed my forehead.

"She must be in peace knowing you are marrying a fine man"

I smiled a little.

"Would Aai have loved Rudra?"

I heard Dada chuckling.

"Rudra would have been pampered to hell by her. She would have loved him"

I felt my heart at peace, knowing Rudra would have been loved by Aai.

"Are you happy sunshine?"

I nodded with a small smile that didn't reach my eyes. It didn't go unnoticed by my brother.

"What happened Kitu?"

I shook my head and lay down on his lap.

"I'm nervous ... what if I turn out to be a bad wife... will he leave me and throw me out?"

Dada ran his hand through my long hair. I heard him laugh. I pouted not expecting him to laugh.

"Dada"

I whined he pinched my cheeks.

"My sunshine can never disappoint anyone, not even herself. Why are you worrying honey, you'll be best even after marriage cause you are the light of everyone's life. Rudra will take care of you more than me, better than me if not you have your brother and your father we'll deal with him"

I held his hand with a small smile.

"Will I be a burden to him?"

He continued caressing my hair.

"You can never be a burden to anyone... you'll know it slowly as time comes"

I nodded and closed my eyes and I didn't know how I fell asleep. Dada laid me down properly and covered me with the comforter.

I was in the room already, I wore a lugda looking like a typical Maharashtrian woman.

Misha and Arya walked into the room and gasped.

"Oh my oh my I'm sure Rudra is gonna faint seeing you in this maroon lehenga"

I looked down shyly,

"You look like a tomato shy like this"

Arya spoke while Misha laughed.

"You guys why are you teasing my daughter huh"

Misha's mom Aarti spoke. She walked to me and applied a black kohl behind my ear.

"Chale? Rudra is waiting"

Aarti Masi spoke, and she helped ketki up. Slowly, they both walked downstairs to the palace, where the wedding was taking place.

Aarti made ketki stand in front of Rudra, but there was a cloth between them. It was time for the Antarpat Ceremony

A silk cloth is held between the bride and groom to prevent them from seeing each other until the priest chants specific mantras.

After mangalashtak was done the cloth was removed from the middle and finally, Rudra was able to see ketki, and his breath got caught seeing ketki.

She wore a lugda with all that jewelry and a nose ring. He just stared at her and admired her. It was hard for him to take his eyes off her.

Rudra wore a white sherwani and a turban. Looking like a king. He had a sword with him.

Zayn nudged him to get back to his senses.

"Rudra she's gonna be yours only stop staring and put the jai mala"

Devansh whispered teasing Rudra, ketki was able to hear i,t, and blush coated on her cheeks.

Ketki was the first one to put the jaimala, he was trying to figure out where to put the mala so Rudra held her hand and directed her which she put successfully.

Everyone clapped and hooted. Rudra was about to put the mala but Samarth and her cousin picked ketki up.

"Not fair"

Nitya spoke and looked at her brother. Devansh and Zayn picked Rudra up to Ketki's level and put the garland.

Once jaimala was done devesh did ketki's kanyadan. Panditji asked ketki and rudra ti stand for saptapadi. They took seven rounds around the pyre. Seven promises with each round.

They both settled down and Pandit ji asked Rudra to fill vermillion. Rudra filled vermillion (sindoor) with a coin on Ketki's forehead a little fell on her nose which is considered a good omen.

Then he tied the nuptial chain (mangalsutra) around her. With that Pandit Ji declared them both happily married and asked them to take blessings from elders.

Rudra and ketki went to Devesh to take his blessings. They both bent down to touch his feet. Devesh blessed them and ketki hugged Devesh.

"Please take care of my daughter..."

Rudra simply nodded. They went to samarth to touch his feet but samarth stopped them in mid-way and hugged ketki. He spoke to Rudra with his eyes asking him to protect her and cherish her.

To which Rudra simply nodded. Rudra's bua was there, but instead of going to her, Rudra took ketki to Veena's aunt and uncle. Rudra and ketki touched their feet and they gave blessings.

Once everything was done, it was time for bidai but where were Rudra's shoes?

Misha and Arya stood there smirking.

"Girls give the shoes back"

Misha and Arya shrugged,

"Paise do joote lo"

(Give money take shoes)

"How much?"

Rudra asked, he knew ketki was tired so he wanted to finish this up real quick so that they could go home.

"How about giving us 20k"

Rudra simply looked at aryan. Aryan took the cue and gave a check of 10k to each of them.

Both were satisfied, gave the shoes back, and helped Rudra wear it.

"Take care of her Jiju"

Rudra smiled lightly and assured Misha and Arya. He knew they genuinely cared for ketki.

After bidai, they were in the car finally ready to go back to the hotel. The wedding was in Jaipur so they were going to leave for Mumbai the next day.

Ketki and Rudra were asked to stay in different bedrooms as the rituals were yet to finish which would be done in Mumbai.

Ketki was sharing a room with Nitya. Raavi was going to stay with Ketki but Rudra didn't allow it.

Nitya and ketki were lying on the bed after ketki got dressed in her nightwear.

"How are you feeling bhabhi?"

Nitya asked ketki. Nitya genuinely liked ketki. Though Rudra wasn't her real brother, he stood by her in her tough times like a real brother.

So she was gonna protect ketki as much as she could.

"I'm still happy... I hope Rudra is too"

Ketki liked Nitya, she treated Nitya like she treated Misha.

"Oh Bhabhi Rudra Bhai is on cloud nine trust me"

Ketki lets out a giggle,

"Bhabhi I don't know what you have heard about him.. good or bad don't trust what people say trust your instincts...he will never mistreat you"

Ketki nods

"I know..."

Ketki yawned and she was tired. Nitya chuckles.

"Bhabhi you better sleep we have an early flight tomorrow morning"

Ketki nodded and closed her eyes, falling asleep.

Rudra was in his room, and Devansh was with him.

"Why did you call me this late Rudra"

Devansh spoke, yawning.

"You need to find a donor, the eye surgery should be done under your observation only"

Devansh was wide awake now.

"Is there anything I need to know?"

Devansh asked, Rudra simply nodded.

"Yes he is the reason she is blind... the man that ruined my family, he is the reason ketki is blind... he ruined everyone's life for his obsession"

Devansh's eyes turned red hearing Rudra.. that man indeed ruined everyone's life.

"Did you marry ketki for revenge?"

Rudra shook his head,

"No.. ketki has nothing to do with it.. she is innocent and a victim of his games. I fell for her even before knowing who she was... I love her, this heart that was dead became alive when ketki came into my life. It started beating again.. the emotions like love which I forgot ketki helped me feel again ... she is like a bright light in my dark life...she completes me Devansh and now I can't even breathe without her. Without her Rudra is nothing... im that madly in love with her"
