I was getting ready to go to the office. As much as I didn't want to go I had to go cause an important meeting came by. I was fixing my tie when chashni walked her.

"Aap kahi jaa rahe ho?"

(Are you going somewhere?)

I nodded and looked at her through the mirror.

"There's an important meeting... I have to go"

She nodded I could see the disappointment in her eyes which I didn't quite like. I turned to her.

"What happened?"

I asked and stepped towards her.

"Nothing... I just thought you would take leave for a few days"

I sighed and cupped her cheeks.

"I know but this meeting is crucial..."

She nodded understanding, it looked like she wanted to ask something but was hesitating.

I lifted her chin with my finger,

"Do you want to ask me something?"

She nodded,

"Actually... I... umm I wanted to ask you, can I bring my Simba here to stay with us? He was always with me since we adopted him"

I smiled and stuck the strand of hair behind her ear.

"You don't have to ask me... this is your house, your nest hm?"

She smiled,

"And my bakery?"

I bopped her nose,

"That's your bakery... if you won't go who will go, Mrs Chauhan"

She nodded, fixing my tie, I kissed her forehead, my lips lingering on her forehead for a few seconds.

"I'll be back soon"

She stepped back and I picked up the file and left from there. I walked out aryan was already waiting for me. He opened the door for me to get in.

Aryan started driving, I was going through the business news. But my mind automatically went to chashni... What must she be doing right now?

I shook my head

'Focus rudra'

After some time we reached Chauhan Enterprise, aryan opened the door for me and I walked into the building with him following me.

I took my elevator which directly took me to my floor. I walked towards the cabin. Removing my coat I kept it hanging on the hair.

"What time meeting is?"

I asked aryan, focused on my file.

"In half-hour"

I nodded and signaled him to leave. I leaned back in my chair. My gaze fell on my parent's frame i picked it up and wiped it with my sleeves.

"Maa, papa your rudra got married... she is the best girl i could ever get. If you would have met her you would her loved her... She is that lovable... I missed you both a lot and I know you both are with me at every step of my life..."

I kept the frame in its place and glanced at my wristwatch. I got up grabbed my coat walking towards the conference room.

After rudra left I was in my room not knowing what to do. I could take a look at his mansion. I got up and walked out of my room. His mansion is huge bigger than mine.

I went to the poolside, there was a huge pool and beside it, there was a gym. Then I walked to the living room which I had seen already.

My gaze fell on the huge frame in the living room. I stood in front of it, it was a huge frame with an aged not so aged couple with a girl and a boy... im sure that boy is rudra.

I was lost in thought, I didn't know when Maria came and stood beside me.

"They are Rudra's parents..."

Maria spoke out of nowhere scarring the shit out of me... she realized what she did and gave me an apologetic look.

"Sorry did I scare you?"

I shook my head.

"Not it's okay"

I spoke and looked back at the picture frame.

"Rudra sir used to be a very happy-go-lucky kind of boy when he was kid, loved by all, pulling pranks on friends, he was innocent his smile could lift anyone's day but...."

Maria sighed, i frowned

"But?"

Maria gave me a sad smile,

"After they left he just became someone else, he stopped laughing he became the cold man he is now... until..."

She held my hand with a small hope in her eyes.

"Until you came into his life... there's a hope to see him like before... that innocent kid whom we lost"

I gave her a smile nodding.

"Don't worry... I'll take care of him from now on... just like he keeps me happy just like he fulfilled all my wishes I'll keep him happy with all his wishes I promise"

Maria smiled,

"I usually take his lunch to his work you wanna go today?"

"Yes I would love to"

I spoke with a smile. I went into my room to get dressed to go to his office and Maria went to pack his lunch.

I wore a simple Off White Floral Print Anarkali pairing it with jumka. I walked downstairs, Maria handed me the lunch basket.

I walked out of the mansion a man in a black suit, a well-built, scary-looking man, was standing near the car. As soon as he saw me he bowed to me.

"Mam I am Sahil Rudra sir has appointed me as your driver"

I nodded as he opened the door for me to get in. Sahil got in the driver's seat and started driving to Chauhan Enterprise.

He stopped in front of a huge building. He opened the door for me. I got out of the car and walked into the building.

I walked to the reception as I didn't know where Rudra's cabin was.

"Hello"

I spoke, to a woman who was probably in her 20s younger than me. She looked at me up and down which was weird.

"Yes, how may I help you?"

She asked uninterested in attending me. I shrugged off the thought and spoke.

"I want to meet Rudra"

She widened her eyes, I guess it was weird for her to hear me call rudra by his name.

"Do you have an appointment?"

I shook my head i was about to speak further she cut me off.

"And why do you think you can meet him whenever you want? I know girls like you very much, many come here to meet him it will be better for you to leave right now,or I'll call security"

She spoke in one breath, yeah, I get it many girls might come here to meet him / seduce him but at least hear me out.

I was in no mood to argue with her or talk to her. I took out my phone dialing Rudra's number.

Rudra picked up my call just after a ring the receptionist who had an arrogant expression on her face changed into confusion.

I put the phone on speaker so that she could get my appointment call loud and clear.

On Call:

Rudra: "Yes Mrs Chauhan?"

The color of that receptionist's face vanished hearing him call me Mrs Chauhan.

"Rudraa I need to fix an appointment with you right now... I am here with your lunch when can you give me your appointment"

The other line was silent for a while, I kinda lost my confidence thinking he might meet me. But the next moment I felt a pair of arms around my waist.

It was a familiar scent, I knew it was rudra. I looked up at him and he gave me a warm smile.

"My wife doesn't need any appointment..."

He spoke in an icy cold voice, and the receptionist's face lost its color. But before she could defend herself rudra led me towards the elevator leaving the receptionist.

Okay, I am not a bad woman, I felt bad for the receptionist but she was being rude to me... like fine she didn't know who I was but she could have been a little polite that's what her job is.

She is the first person who meets potential clients or any guest who visits her will she treat them the same? I won't be helping her she should get her punishment a lesson she will remember all her life.
