Chapter Ten

In the car I was silent almost the whole way home. Marcus and Alice decided that they were going to take me home so I didn't explode on anyone. Actually, more so ALICE wouldn't explode on anyone.

"I'm sorry he did that." Marcus mumbled.

"How the hell does he have a boyfriend, when he's trying to get you back!" Alice flailed, "That Keith dude is either really dumb, or so deeply in love that he can't think straight."

"I don't know, Alice." I spoke up. "Can we just drop it, please?"

"Yeah, sorry Adrian." Alice winced.

"It's alright." I said quietly.

We sat in silence for a few more seconds, "Actually? Instead of going home can we go to the ice rink?"

"Yes we can!" Said Marcus excitedly, "I really want to see you skate again!"

I glanced back at Alice and I could tell she was worried, "Are you sure you're okay?" She asked, concern lacing her voice.

I hesitated but said that I was fine.

I saw Marcus and Alice exchange a look in the rear view mirror. Marcus's gaze held confusion, whereas Alice's held concern.

Upon arriving at the ice rink I hurried in and put on my skates. Completely ignoring the people around me. When I was in the rink I didn't care what anyone thought. I was mad, so my skating looked angry. I just skated and tried to forget everything. Everything that has to do with Blake.

I know this is an extremely short chapter, but it's important to Adrian as a character. PLEASE DON'T BE MAD AT ME FOR MAKING IT SO SHORT!! 😭😭
