Sterling’s thoughts were all on Audrey in the kitchen. Upon hearing Anika’s words, he whispered, “No, I won’t.”

There was still one vegetable left to stir–fry. Audrey stood in front of the stove and put the washed vegetable into the pot.

Suddenly, a pair of long and strong arms reached out and embraced her slender waist from behind.

Audrey raised her little hand and patted Sterling’s hand back, “Don’t be naughty, it’s not good if someone sees it later!”

Sterling lowered his head and k*ssed Audrey’s carlobe, “In the future, cook less. Whatever you want to eat, I will have a chef prepare it for you.”

“Why didn’t you do it for me?”

After all the dishes were cooked, Jonas smacked his l*ps and said, “It’s been a long time since I last had Anika’s cooking. It smells so good.”

Anika smiled and said, “I only made two dishes, the rest was made by Ms. Watson.”

Jonas pointed at the steamed chicken and pumpkin steamed meat, “I guess

both of these dishes were made by Anika. Hey, Sterling is really lucky, every time Anika makes something, it’s always his favorite.”

Sterling handed Jonas a piece of chicken and asked, “Is this enough to satisfy your appetite?”

Audrey sat next to Sterling, watching them as they laughed and talked about studying abroad. She couldn’t join in the conversation and felt out of place.

Audrey sat in the passenger seat and remained silent throughout the journey.

Audrey drooped her long, thick eyelashes like butterfly wings. She wasn’t angry with Jonas, after all, she wasn’t the money that could make everyone like her.

She was just a little lost and disappointed. She thought she was close enough to Sterling, but after Anika came back, she realized that there seemed to be an invisible wall between them.

the car and opened the door for Audrey. “Do you like it here?”

Audrey didn’t have the mood to look around and slightly pursed her l*ps. “Because you gave Bauhinia Apartments to Anika, are you afraid that I would be angry and want to give me a villa?”
