He stepped forward, embraced her in his arms, and gently k*ssed her

on the top of her head. “Audra, I’ll go check on her. If she’s okay, I’ll come back.”

Audrey grabbed the hem of Sterling’s shirt, her fingertips tightly clutching the fabric she had pulled, her soft voice almost pleading, “I needed your company, stay tonight and let Jonas go, or have Deon come over.”

She didn’t know why she had to make him stay, maybe it was the same mentality as Anika’s, she just wanted to prove that she was the most important person in his heart!
