Against all odds - Minsung [✔]
The following day, Jisung had a scheduled meeting with Son Youngjae; a popular singer and rapper. He was supposed to interview him and then write an article for a magazine.
He was really nervous. He didn't know what kind of person Youngjae was. Maybe he wasn't easy to talk to... But since it was difficult to get an opportunity like this, he prayed he wouldn't mess up.
He had been busy preparing the questions for the interview and he had also done some research on the star's career so he wouldn't embarrass himself by accident.
Specifically for this occasion, he was wearing a quite decent suit; not too fancy but also not too simple. He had even groomed himself more than usual... and his efforts weren't left unnoticed by Minho.
The demon had been staring at him skeptically the whole time from his spot in the doorway. Leaning against it, his gaze darkened when he saw Jisung brush his hair for what seemed like the hundredth time.
"You don't need to do that, you know?" he complained.
"But I need to look formal when I meet a famous person," Jisung retorted, glancing at his reflection in the mirror and fixing his suit.
"I don't think so."
"Come on, Minho. You've been grumpy all morning," he sighed. "It's just one small interview. After thirty minutes, I will be done and then we can still go on a date."
"I am going to accompany you," he insisted. "You are not meeting this guy on your own."
Jisung picked up the papers he had left on his desk and turned around to face Minho. "You act like he's a serial killer or something."
"So what?"
Heaving a sigh, his shoulders slumped. "Alright fine, you may accompany me. But only to the building, okay? I want to do the interview alone."
"We'll see about that," Minho mumbled lowly as he passed him.
They left the house and drove to the given address. Jisung wasn't surprised to end up at a large corporate building with countless stories.
It was located in the middle of Seoul in a rather popular area. He parked his car, entering the lobby with Minho who glared at the other humans in the vicinity.
They walked to the reception desk and Jisung introduced himself, getting visitor passes for the both of them. The security personnel let them inside without issues.
They entered one of the lifts to reach the floor where Youngjae's office was. Jisung was very nervous at this point, constantly fidgeting with the folder he was holding.
The lift reached its destination and they exited it, walking down a long hallway until they came to stand in front of a door. It was Son Youngjae's office.
Jisung glanced at Minho. "I'll do the rest alone, alright?" he smiled. "Thank you for accompanying me here."
The demon was frozen like a statue and glared at the door, suspicion written all over his face. His eyes turned red, showing his irritation.
"You are not going into that room alone," he hissed lowly, pulling Jisung closer to him.
"Why? What is it?" he asked.
"Whoever is waiting for you inside is a demon," he answered. "I'm sensing the aura of an incubus." His red eyes narrowed when he sent Jisung a burning stare.
"This kind of creature can be very alluring," he explained. "He's likely going to try something with you. Don't listen to anything he says, okay?"
"I won't," Jisung said, having changed his opinion about wanting to go alone. He was reluctant when he knocked on the door.
Hearing a voice from inside telling him to enter, he opened the door and walked into Youngjae's office with Minho.
His eyes wandered around restlessly until they fell on a man standing by the windows. He was very handsome, had silky golden hair and green eyes that sparked mischievously.
