Against all odds - Minsung [✔]
Trigger warning: Slightly violent actions : (
Jisung hummed to himself as he chopped the vegetables that he would be steaming for dinner. He wondered if Minho would actually show up. Knowing the demon, he definitely wouldn't want to miss steamed dumplings and veggies.
Jisung's wondering didn't last for long. He sensed that he was being watched. He knew Minho would run if he turned around, so he nonchalantly held up the knife that he was holding and smirked. He saw Minho standing in the doorway through the reflection on the knife.
"You can help out if you'd like," He said as he went back to chopping the vegetables. In an instant, he felt Minho standing right behind him.
He grabbed the knife on Jisung's hand and pressed the cold blade against his throat. Jisung swallowed loudly, the knife now pressing harder against his adam's apple.
"It would be so easy to kill you," Minho growled.
"Yes, it definitely would," he said nervously.
"But, why can't I do it?"Â He whispered dejectedly, dropping the knife onto the cutting board. Jisung gasped and brought his hands to his neck where the knife had left a tiny cutâbut he was otherwise unharmed.
He turned around, expecting Minho to have disappeared once again, but the demon stood there, only an inch away from him. "What's the matter?" He said softly. "Why can't you kill me? You've had so many opportunities."
Minho said nothing and tears brimmed up in Jisung's eyes. "Just do it! Kill me if that's what you want!" He yelled, picking up the knife and putting it back on Minho's hands. The demon didn't budge and let him do whatever he wanted.
Jisung wrapped his hand around Minho's and put the knife back up to his neck. "Do it, Minho. Finish the job." He said through gritted teeth. "It's not that hard..."
Minho exhaled deeply, gazing at Jisung blankly. "I can't... I can't do it," he said and Jisung let go of his hand. He sank to his knees and fell to the floor, defeated.
"I'm so tired. Trying to be your friend while you keep trying to be my enemy is exhausting."
"I'm sorry," he breathed. "You don't deserve any of this." He licked his thumb and swiped it across the small cut on Jisung's neck, healing it. "Can... can we start over?" He asked nervously.
"That depends," Jisung looked up, lips pressed into a thin line.
"Depends on what?"
"Whether or not you'll help me with dinner," he replied and they both grinned at each other. Minho pulled the human into his armsâJisung was understandably a little nervous, but he slowly wrapped his arms around the demon's broad torso as well.
Minho cleared his throat and aggressively released Jisung. "Sorry about that. I'm... I'm trying to be more human." He stood up, grabbing Jisung's arms and pulling him up with him.
"You don't have to be a human to be decent, Minho. I know what you really are and I accept you for that. I just want to be your friend. You don't have to change to make that happen. Just... just maybe try not to kill me so much," he laughed softly.
"I promise," he said excitedly. "Maybe, only once a month from now on."
Jisung grinned at that. "Alright, deal. You can only try to kill me once a month." He brought a hand out to Minho and they both shook hands.
