Against all odds - Minsung [✔]
Minho stood up and made his way to the basement. When he returned, he was holding the so-called Ouija board and a bunch of candles in his hands. He plopped back down beside Jisung and set up the Ouija board on the floor.
He lit up each of the small candles that he was holding using the campfire and then proceeded to position them around the Ouija board. The sound of crickets chirping and the dim night sky made the perfect ambience.
"Are you sure that you really wanna mess with this thing?" Jisung mumbled, glancing over Minho who didn't even seem slightly concerned.
"Oh come on now. Don't tell me that you're scared." The demon teased him with a grin displayed on his face. "You aren't scared of me, a demonâso how could you even be scared of ghosts?"
"And who said that I'm scared?!" He shrieked, raising a brow. Reluctantly, he put his fingers on the wooden pointer just like what Minho did. He glanced at the demon's face, seeing his eyes glow in the eerie candlelight.
"Are there any ghosts here with us?" Minho asked and waited for a few secondsâbut nothing happened.
Jisung chuckled. "Is anybody here?" He asked, not expecting anything to happen, but he was in for a surprise. The pointer moved under their fingers, slowly inching towards 'Yes'. He hissed, glaring at Minho. "Stop it. I know that you're the one moving the pointer."
"It's not me," he shrugged. "This thing is actually legit."
"I don't think so," Jisung whispered, unsure if he was going to believe the demon. Who knows? He could just be playing a stupid prank on him.
"Let's ask another question," Minho went on, driven by curiosity. "How old are you?" The pointer moved to the numbers on the board, spelling 369. "Damn... this ghost is older than me." He whispered under his breath, letting out a muffled laughter afterwards.
"Let me ask something else too!" Jisung yelled, his eyes glued to the board. "Are you really a ghost?" The pointer shifted to 'Yes' but he wasn't convinced yet. "Prove it to me! Tell me something... something that only a ghost would know."
The pointer moved again, hovering over the board with increasing speed, occasionally halting over a letter or a number until it had spelled something that made Jisung's stomach lurch. Biscuit 05132018.
"Huh? What does that even mean?" Minho asked in confusion, but his eyes widened when he saw Jisung getting teary-eyed. "What's wrong with you now?"
Jisung knew all too well what the numbers and name meant. "Biscuit is the name of my cat," he laughed sadly. "And he died on May 13, 2018..."
Minho picked up the Ouija board and threw it to the campfire where it slowly burned down piece by piece. He honestly didn't really care about the fact that Jisung's cat diedâhe just hated seeing people crying. It was quite...annoying.
He wrapped Jisung around his arms and whispered some words of comfort to him. And before he even knew it, Jisung fell asleep in his arms. What a cute human, he thought to himself with a smile. He carried Jisung back into his room and plopped him down on his bed.
He stared at the human sleeping soundly. It was a cute view. He looked really peaceful when he was sound asleepâ a total contrast to when he is awake and loudmouthed.
