After Chan and Seungmin had left to fetch the blood mage, Jisung started to make lunch because he had just realized that he hadn't eaten anything yet since he had slept in for the entire morning.

"Hey Minho, do you prefer spaghetti or braised chickens?" He yelled into the living room and waited for an answer, but to his surprise, he didn't receive one.

Grumbling under his breath, he marched to the next room, and Minho was there - sat on the sofa.

Jisung walked up to him and asked once again, "What do you want for lunch?" Minho stayed silent for countless long minutes.

He seemed distracted by something and was lost in his thoughts, absentmindedly letting a ball of light appear and disappear on his palms.

His restless behavior was beginning to annoy Jisung since he once again could not tell what he was thinking of. The blank expression on his face gave nothing away at all.

"You seem quite distracted today," he remarked, the silence in the room tensing up. "Minho?" He waved a hand in front of him, and finally gained his attention.

"Sorry?" He answered, and Jisung sighed exasperatedly.

"Do you want spaghetti or braised chickens for lunch?"

"Chicken," he said emotionlessly. Jisung was surprised by his hollow tone since he normally would've started beaming at the mention of food.

However, Jisung decided to push it to the back of his mind for now and walked back to the kitchen to ready all the ingredients he needed.

When the food was finished, he went to the living room and beckoned Minho to join him at the dining table. They sat down across from each other and dug in.

Minho didn't say a word, and Jisung couldn't take his sudden strangeness anymore.

"Hey, what's wrong? You've been awfully quiet," he questioned Minho, but he never got to answer because they suddenly heard the front door open, interrupting their conversation.

"Guys, we got him!" They immediately recognized the voice as Chan's and stood up from their seats to check who he was referring to.

Jisung was the first to walk to the front door, and when his eyes met the gaze of a familiar person, he stopped so abruptly that Minho nearly stumbled over him.

His eyes widened and his jaw almost dropped as he gaped at the man that stood in front of him.

His hair was silver and messy, his eyes were as blue as the heavens. Silky feathers from his wings glimmered golden when they caught the sunlight that fell in through the window.

"What is an angel doing here?" Minho hissed hatefully, pulling Jisung closer to his side as he glared daggers at the unwanted being in the room.

"I'm not here to cause you any harm," the angel said and held up his hands in an attempt to calm the demon.

"Yeah, right, because I would rip your wings out one by one if you tried anything," he snapped aggressively and Jisung lightly tugged the back of his shirt, frowning.

"Minho, calm down please," he said and hugged his arm as he put a pout on his lips, knowing that this trick always worked with him. "I don't like it when you are like this."

Minho rolled his eyes at him but didn't shake him off. "I don't trust him!" He then redirected his gaze to Chan and Seungmin who didn't look bothered at all. "Why did you guys bring an angel here?"

"Get yourself together you dumb fuck," Seungmin nagged. "You said it yourself—blood mages are dangerous. So we decided to find someone else who is safe to be around with and knows how to break bonds."

"Yeah, and Changbin is a really nice guy too," Jisung said out of the blue, and the three demons looked at him questioningly.

"What? You know this guy?!" A growl rumbled in Minho's throat and his eyes turned deep red when he looked at Jisung.

"Yeah, I do," he said and Minho became furious. He knew that he had to change the topic before Minho lost his nerves completely since that would not end well.

"Um, Changbin... so you know how to break bonds?" He asked breathlessly and subconsciously held Minho's arm tighter.

"Yes," he replied. "You might want to sit down for this because I have a lot of things to explain."
