A heavy and tense silence fell over the room. Jisung had always wanted to get rid of the bond but after hearing its side effects, he'd rather be bonded to Minho forever, but he was the only one who thought so.

"Doesn't matter. I want you to do it," Minho said decidedly.

Changbin sighed quietly, not liking the demon's rash way of thinking and acting. "Maybe you should leave it be. Fate has interesting ways to bring people together," he said.

"Shut up and let's get this done with," Minho hissed.

"Fine. But before I remove the bond, I want to make sure that the both of you agree to it. Otherwise, I won't do it." He said, frowning worriedly when he noticed Jisung's eyes brimmed with tears.

"Yeah, fine. We both agree," the demon snapped impatiently, eager to get it over with. "No, we don't," Jisung chimed in.

"What?"

"I don't want to break the bond," he said and Minho took him by the shoulders, furiously staring into his eyes. "Why not? Jisung! We have waited so long for this moment! It has to be done now!"

"I don't want to," he said, the agony in his heart becoming unbearable.

"Hey, hey, Minho, calm down. You're scaring him," Chan finally spoke up, disliking the tense atmosphere of the place.

"Stay out of this!" He snapped, light particles forming around his clenched fists.

"Minho," Jisung whispered, his voice quaking. "Just tell me why... tell me why you are so eager to do this. I need an explanation."

Minho clicked his tongue, annoyed at him. "I've been wanting to get rid of this for months, you can't expect me to change my mind now."

"B-but..."

"But what?" He hissed. "What is it?"

Jisung almost choked, trying hard to hold in a sob. "I-I thought we were getting along well a-and... didn't you say that you liked me?"

"Don't be silly. You know how much I despise humans. Why would I want to stay with you? This has been going on for long enough."

"I want to go back to hell and not be chained down to a human," he said, narrowing his eyes. "You're a burden to me; don't you realize that?"

Jisung's eyes widened and his tears ran down on his face. Minho's words hurt - it felt like a thousand stabs in the back. Had he been wrong all this time in thinking that Minho liked him?

He knew full well that he loved Minho, that he would do anything for him. But he on the other hand seemed to hold no such feelings for Jisung even though he had kissed and flirted with him a bunch of times.

Jisung knew that a weak human could never compare to a demon, and being called a burden by him really hurt. It made him hate himself. All this time, he was weighing Minho down, standing in the way of his happiness.

And even though he didn't want to part ways with him, he didn't want to deny Minho's happiness either. He didn't wish to be a burden any longer.

"F-Fine, we're going to break the bond," he whispered desperately and wiped his teary eyes with his sleeves. They were red from crying. Changbin watched him worriedly, knowing that he wasn't ready for it despite his words.

He shared a glance with Chan and Seungmin, neither of them knowing how they could save the situation. They knew that once Minho decides on something he really wants to do, he will do it.

"Let's go outside for this," Changbin suggested reluctantly. He had sensed that something weird seemed to be going on with Minho, but he couldn't tell what it was. Creatures from hell had always been so hard to understand.

He, Minho, and Jisung walked outside to the front porch of the house, Chan and Seungmin lingering a few steps away to watch them.

Changbin gave them both a serious look. "Removing your bond will take about one or two minutes. Once it has started, I can't stop. If it's not removed correctly, you both might die."

"Therefore you can't interfere. Are you really sure you want to go through with it?" He asked again.

"Do it," Minho snapped impatiently, losing his temper with the reluctance of the angel.

"Go ahead," Jisung breathed barely audibly. He couldn't bear to look at Minho anymore, otherwise he might break into tears once more...
