Against all odds - Minsung [✔]
After the other demons had left to do some hunting, the house became quieter and Jisung used this opportunity to look around Chan's home. He had been very curious about this place ever since he arrived in hell.
Minho sat on the sofa and watched as Jisung walked to the large windowpane on the other side of the room. Laying his palm on the glass, he glanced outside, seeing the rocky landscape of hell.
Chan's house was built on the side of a mountain, so the view from up here was impressive. It overlooked a large plane that appeared deserted.
The ground had split open in some places, fire sprouting up towards the pitch-black night sky.
It was a sight that Jisung couldn't get used to, but at the same time, it fascinated him and ignited his curiosity.
He wished to see it up close and not just from the living room of Chan's house. Turning back to Minho, he was met with an entirely different sight than outside.
Minho had used his magic to light up the room with a soft golden glow to disperse the prevalent darkness of hell. Jisung smiled as he walked up to him, crossing his arms. "Minho?" He asked and glanced at the demon with big puppy eyes.
Minho heaved a sigh since he already suspected what Jisung was about to ask. It wasn't that hard to guess. "Can we go outside?" Yep. Just as Minho thought.
He scowled, shaking his head. "Forget it, that's too dangerous. You shouldn't even be here in the first place."
"But the area around Chan's house seems safe... I just want to take a little walk around it," he pleaded.
"I really want to see the place you demons call home, please!" He was very persistent in his undertaking to change Minho's mindâbut he didn't seem to budge.
"It's too risky. I can't just let you walk through hell," he said, leaning towards Jisung until their noses were almost touching. However, his heavy stare and flirtatious attempt still didn't make Jisung cave in.
"Please, please, please?" Jisung chirped. "Did you know that you're my favorite demon, Minho?"
His sudden confession made Minho freeze. He straightened up and coughed, a suspicious red hue spreading over his cheeks. "Lies. You're only saying that because you want to go outside," he mumbled under his breath, avoiding Jisung's gaze.
"No. I'm saying it because it's true! You are the best demon ever," he continued, inwardly smirking because he could see that he was getting somewhere. Minho bit his lip and the red hue on his cheeks spread all the way to his ears.
Jisung giggled at the sight. "Are you blushing?"
"No!" He snapped and sulked.
"I think you are," he smiled. "Please say yes, Min!" The demon grumbled something under his breath, but eventually, he gave up. "Fine," he said.
"Thank you!" Jisung sputtered and hugged Minho. "You are officially the best demon in hell," he laughed joyfully.
"You just never shut up, do you?" He complained surly.
"Oh come on, I know that you were happy with what I said! Just admit it, you big bad demon," he teased, letting go of Minho to take another good look at his red cheeks. There was nothing more amusing in this world than an embarrassed and flustered Minho.
He wanted to pinch his cheeks, but then Minho would probably explode, so he didn't do it. "We're leaving now," he decided and took the demon's hand, glancing at him excitedly.
"Yeah, calm down," Minho grumbled. They left the house and he showed Jisung to a rocky path that wound around the mountain. It was just wide enough that they could walk next to each other.
Minho made use of his magic to illuminate their surroundings to assure that Jisung wouldn't accidentally stumble over something. He kept an eye on the vicinity to search for possible threats, Jisung on the other hand was busy looking around in awe.
He didn't sense any high-class demons nearby, but that didn't mean they were safe. After what had happened only days ago, he wasn't too happy about Jisung strolling through hellâthe most dangerous place in existence.
To be continued...
Help, I literally have this story in my drafts that I really want to upload already, but I just can't. I hate uploading new stories when I still have an ongoing story. For the meantime, I'll just be proofreading and editing that story HJHSJAHS.
